Arepas (cornmeal cakes filled with meat & cheese) are the specialty of this festive Latin eatery.

Had such a fantastic night at Hola Arepa! This place is one of my favorites for good reason. The service is so friendly, and the Halloween vibes were on point, loved the decor and the themed cocktails (they really went all in). The sweet potatoes here are seriously underrated, easily one of my favorite sides anywhere. The steak arepa is perfection: tender, flavorful, and super satisfying and the hot honey chicken arepa is just as good. One of those spots that nails both food and atmosphere every time.

I was being indecisive about where to have dinner and ultimately picked Hola Arepa and they did not disappoint! We ordered the plantains, brussel sprouts, Yucatán chicken empanadas, and the hot honey chicken arepa. The food came out quickly and hot and all the flavors just melded so well together. We ordered the banoffee pie trifle for dessert, which is the only picture I got, because I inhaled everything as soon as it came out.

This was our first time back here in a little while and Hola delivered as usual. We love the atmosphere and the general vibe and the staff is always very efficient and friendly, but the food is the star of the show here. We went with some Arepas which were delicious as always, some of the world’s best Yucca fries and also tried the Pao burger off the Happy Hour menu for something different. We don’t usually order a burger in a place not known for it, but the Pao burger was phenomenal! Every thing they put on that burger made it a unique Hola creation and stand out among most burgers in the area. I have no good reason for not bring here more recently, but we will definitely be back again soon!

Great restaurant! Prices are reasonable, service was fast and attentive, and the food was great. Even the chips and salsa were awesome. Our server was very helpful and didn’t miss a beat waiting on our table. The outdoor patio space is nice on a sunny day.

Unlike many people currently leaving reviews, I’ve actually eaten here many times and can speak from experience just how fantastic Hola Arepa ‘s food, service, and vibes are.
They’ve been in the neighborhood since the early 2010s and have been a favorite ever since opening their doors, they were out go to when ordering out during lockdown in 2020.
I’d drink the Hola sauce with a straw it’s so yummy. I always go for the shredded beef and sweet plantain arepa (with the yuca fries of course) but all of the options are so delicious!
I also love the Tropical Holiday Pop Up Bar they do every winter, it’s so much fun, the vibes are impeccable to the point that I like to go with friends even though I don’t drink.
The only downside is that I don’t get down there enough!

I had a mixed but mostly positive experience. The taco was the standout. Really good flavor and I loved the shell. Crisp, sturdy, and just the right texture.
The arepa was decent, but I liked the taco more overall. That said, the sauce that came with the arepa was excellent. Super flavorful and definitely the best part of the dish.
Plantains were regular. Not bad, not great. Just kind of there.
It’s a little pricey for what you get, but the service was great. Friendly, fast, and professional.
The atmosphere was loud, which made it hard to hold a conversation, and the phone signal inside was terrible. No WiFi either, which added to the inconvenience.

We were visiting the town and stopped by Hola on March 10 a.m. It’s a beautifully decorated place with a cozy vibe. The food was good, with the best fried yuca ever. However, our experience turned unpleasant when we saw a female server serving others’ tables, not ours, and her clothes (at least what we saw from the back) were full of cat hair.
This is a hygienic and safety issue that we hope is addressed. Luckily, when we saw it, we were almost done eating, but this situation ruined (disgusted) our experience. Because the space between the tables is a bit narrow, when she needed to bend over to put stuff on the table she was serving, she would put her behind almost in our face. As a result, when we got to our car, I had a few animal hairs in my coat. In the same manner, the hair can end up in people’s food.

Wow, I am so glad I took a chance on this place! The food was great, especially the aoli. The yuca fries were close enough to regular fries but honestly tastier and had a good texture to them. The real tasty part of the mango chia pudding. That mango purée on top was something incredible.
Will definitely be back!
