Was out running errands with my son, and decided to stop for a little treat. Well, I got the smallest one and it wasn’t “little”! This was my first “shave ice” experience. Sure, I’ve had snow cones, but this is different people! The texture is much more refined. Enjoyed it very much. Will be getting more soon!

Worst experience ever. We placed our order and I asked for ice cream on the bottom. As I was waiting, I overheard the employee topping off my snowcone ask the other employee if she remembered to put ice cream on. She forgot so instead of just making a new one, they scooped the already poured snowcone into a cup with ice cream, making a COMPLETE mess. She laughed as she handed me the cup. It was COVERED in syrup (shown in picture) and most of the snowcone was just melted and smothered in syrup. I had to ask for napkins to even hold the snowcone since it was covered in syrup. Not to mention it was hardly edible as most of the cup was basically snowcone syrup. They were extremely unprofessional. And then as we were walking back to our car, one of the employees opened the side door to throw a box out and hit my husband in the leg. Won’t be coming back.

I could’ve sworn I left a review here previously, but I guess I didn’t post! So here I am posting now. Went yesterday with my daughter, and it’s the best shaved ice in Utah. Even with local competitor Bahama bucks, how cool I will beat it out every time I’ve been tempted to open a franchise a few different times, but just haven’t found the sweet spot, but I will soon because this could be a daily part of my life, and should be. They always seem to hire the friendly staff, the places to sit are always immaculate and well-kept, always feel like I get more than I ordered even if it’s a small, Julia is a part of my summer life! And I can’t imagine it without it!

Never dissapoints! Love the huge portions of shaved ice you get and they make sure to put a generous amount of syrup so you get a blast of flavor in every bite!! Favorite place to take my little girls in the summer!!

Great ambience and friendly staff. Just expect AT LEAST an hour-long wait on your shaved ice, and that is *after* you order (the line can be unpredictable in length). There are too many people who love this product and unfortunately not enough staff to accomodate in a timely manner. No one seems to care too much; we all love what we get anyways~ :]

I visited Hokuli’a Shave Ice a while ago but I still remember that hot summer day that I needed to cool off and their shave ice was just what I needed on that hot day. They had a lot of flavors to choose from, I went with the tigers blood with sweet condense milk and it was amazing. The reason for only 4 stars was that there were some bees buzzing around the area and I am not friends with them. 🙂 other than that it was a great experience.

Totally hit the spot tonight. Amazing ice cream and shaved ice, they even have sugar free. I love seeing the young kids working hard and serving customers. Nice and friendly. You for sure should stop by for a cool treat on a hot summer night.

Hokulia is amazing! Best snow shack around. The sizes are huge and the flavors are amazing. The people that work here are always really nice and provide great service! We come back often and highly recommend it!
