The restaurant is really nice and peaceful inside, very clean, and has a nice sushi bar seating area. Maybe it’s because I came in 30 minutes before closing, but I don’t feel like that’s significantly close to closing for one single person to grab lunch. The hostess was made conversation with some buddies and made no attempt to greet me. The friends literally had to look at me and tell her that she should probably help me. The waitress was very unfriendly. No smile, no thank you or standard “we’ll have it right out”. It was really quite awkward. I quickly ordered since I knew they were closing in half an hour. At no point did anyone check on me or refill my drink. I felt extremely unwelcome, ate my food quickly, and left. (There was still 10 minutes until closing by the time I left) Nobody said goodbye, nobody said thank you. This was potentially one of the coldest and worst service restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. I would not return based on the service alone. The food itself was bad too. Junk quality of sushi, teriyaki steak was not seared at all, It was almost like steamed meat. Spring rolls had clearly gone bad and we’re inedible, they had an awful smell and were soggy and mushy inside. I spit it out because I didn’t want to get sick. The green tea was good, but that’s really all I can say positively about my experience. Obviously I did not finish my food. Would not recommend, would not go back. Find another option if you’re considering eating here.

Friendly reception and competent service, staff is very accommodating which makes your meal more enjoyable. We went for dinner on Sunday night so is not crowded.
Sushi rolls are all fresh filled with vibrant colors and flavors!

We decided to go back after a long hiatus due to new ownership not having the same quality in food and service. The new ownership did not disappoint as they still had the same issues but worse. Ordered toro sashimi along with other varieties presented frozen. The wife had a poke’ bowl that was not up to par. A relative gave us a gift certificate which the manager proclaimed it had no monetary value. As the gift card came form my father very doubtful that it showed no value. Hokkaido has been horrible since the original owners left. Bad service with the exception of a hold over waitress form original owners. Sushi/Sashimi is borderline. Would not recommend anyone visiting.

Stopped in for a quick lunch but left feeling sick. I ordered the Filet Mignon Hibachi and the Halloween Roll. The roll was poorly made and very warm. Their ginger salad was nothing special. All iceberg lettuce. When the Hibachi came out (it was not made in front of you), it looked really good, but the taste was horrible. Their seasonings were off, and the yum yum sauce tasted very weird. Something turned my stomach. Needless to say, I will not be back.

The rolls were very good, but the sashimi quality was just good. The server was excellent; the service took a long time. It was very enjoyable to meet with a big group and share and get to try so many of the rolls.

The restaurant was clean. The staff was attentive and friendly. This was my first time eating any kind of sushi and I found it very tasty and very enjoyable.

Took food to go, the batter of the shrimp tempura was saggy and greasy, not crispy as the tempura should be. Chicken fried rice had no taste, seemed like a reheated dish. Very disappointed experience

lunch here is amazing it should be so much busier! dinner is great but the lunch deals are really a bargain. Service is quick and it’s a great place to spend the afternoon.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time tonight. The service was amazing, all the people in there were very very nice, my sushi was delicious, My Husband‘s hibachi chicken was pretty good except the Yum Yum sauce seemed to be a mixture of something else which we didn’t like it all. But otherwise everything was amazing. The atmosphere, the people, the sushi was fresh, and the hibachi chicken was absolutely delicious. My husband also wanted me to say that he did receive a very generous portion of the hibachi chicken!
