We have been to Hokkaido’s Watauga location about 3 times, and each time has been great. We love every appetizer, sushi roll, and ramen we have tried. On this particular trip, we started off with the chicken gyoza and ordered a sushi roll. The wife had Tonkatsu ramen with no spice and I had Tonkatsu ramen at fire spice level with an extra egg. The ramen was amazing as always. The servers are always nice and quick with refills. You should definitely look at adding this place if you are a fan of ramen!

We’ve been coming here since they opened and we haven’t had a bad experience yet. The service is always friendly, the decor is cool & fits the vibe, and the food is exceptional & served promptly.
If you get your ramen “fire” level, just be aware it’s actually hot.
Veggie fried rice is always on point and all the ramen we’ve had so far has been stellar (beef, chicken, seafood). Prices are just right and well worth what you get!

Egg rolls were nice and crispy, filling was hot but veggies still firm/crunchy. Ahi Tuna sushi looked and tasted good. Ramen bowls has a lot of meat in them – like most ramen places too much noodles and not enough veggies. Broth was a little bland

Great ramen and very creative sushi. The Monster Roll was baked and super flavorful.
My daughter loved the huge, cute fruit jelly dessert.
Fun place — we’ll definitely be back.

Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi has been open for a while in Watauga, and my wife and I have always noticed it. We finally tried it today. First off, the parking is easy since it’s in a shopping center. When you walk in, the establishment has an awesome style with anime-themed items. If you have children like mine, or if you like anime yourself, you’ll appreciate the decor. The menu is extensive, with a lot of great choices. I ordered the Godzilla rolls, and they were amazing. My wife and daughter got the seafood Ramen, which they loved, and my youngest enjoyed the fried rice and a little bit of the Ramen. The egg rolls and dumpling appetizers were also very good. The staff was amazing, and we were lucky to have Deisy as our waitress. She was very kind and gave us great recommendations. She was very polite and sweet to our daughters as well. Also, the desserts were amazing. We tried the Matcha tiramisu and the teriyaki ice cream, both of which were delicious. We enjoyed every item we tasted today and would highly recommend coming here.

This is a really cute restaurant. Perfect for family, dating or hanging out with friends.
The food is not bad at all. We ordered different kinds of ramen. The texture of ramen is good but the beef bone broth is a little too sweet for my taste. The employees are really sweet and we felt welcome. We’ll definitely come back again.

-Good water.
-The sushi is pretty good but the presentation with some of them is just flat out awesome.
-The ramen isn’t as great as some places but the seasoning with the meats they use in it surprisingly makes that not matter all that much.
-The fried Cheesecake is hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had in my life, I cant stress that enough.
-I’ve personally tried almost all of their appetizers and can safely say all of them are pretty good, xiao long bao is just very homely, the crab wontons are always delicious, chashi buns are a great snack, just to list some personal favorites.

Miso Ramen was excellent. Broth was very flavorful without being crushingly rich, noodles and egg were perfectly cooked, pork belly was delicious. The chicken gyōza was also very tasty. Non-sushi prices are very reasonable. Service was quick if pretty perfunctory. Atmosphere is cute.
Sushi was mediocre at best – neither the fish nor the rice are great quality (for sushi purists, the nigiri was also too large to be eaten in a single bite). You aren’t expecting Hatsuyuki quality at a casual place, but I was still a little disappointed given the prices.
Still a five star restaurant for me because I would happily go here regularly for the rest of the menu.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was blown away! The ramen was amazingly delicious—full of flavor, perfectly cooked noodles, and a broth that was rich and comforting. On top of the great food, the service made the experience even better. A young man named Equinox took care of us, and he was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone craving great food with excellent service!
