I’ll start off by saying restaurants have off days, so I’m hoping to be able to give this place another chance one day. Sushi wasn’t the best quality and a lot of the avocado was brown throughout my roll. I ordered a Thai tea and it didn’t taste like Thai tea at all. I understand most sushi places use a flavored powder for teas but this tasted like sugar milk. Not a hint of Thai flavor present.

I was overwhelmed by the quality of everything we received with our take-out order. We ordered a sushi roll, a bowl of ramen noodles, and a teriyaki chicken entree over rice. All of it was delicious and portions were so generous that we had leftovers for the next day. The take out packaging was incredible. Heavy containers and chopsticks were carefully packed in a canvas to-go bag. This would be a great meal to have delivered as a gift it was so impressive. All for around $30.

Nice atmosphere, decent food (albeit pricey for the quality). The fish quality could be better, and the sushi flavors are overly sweet. The ramen is okay.
Mango sushi: I enjoyed this and found it refreshing, but it didn’t need the sweet sauce on top.
Deep fried sushi (Bozeman roll): I would recommend this; it was a crowd pleaser at our table (and that’s saying something since not all of our party likes sushi).
Sashimi: I love sashimi, and it’s always a good torture test for sushi places. I enjoyed it but the fish could be better quality.
Beef ramen: The beef rib itself was really nice (very tender), but there wasn’t much soup. Broth itself was okay but mostly salty aside from the beef flavor. Noodles were average.
“Macha cheese foam” drink: STAY AWAY from this drink! It’s absolutely inedible. I love a good cheese foam drink and I love matcha, but this tasted NOTHING like matcha. It was mostly sugar mixed some artificial fruity flavor. I can drink some fairly sweet drinks, but this was too sweet for me to drink more than a few sips of.

Immediately upon walking in, the restaurant smelled clean. Modern decor. Great service. Tonkotsu ramen and pho were exceptional. It was obvious that every detail, from the ingredients to the bowls for each dish were carefully chosen. The prices are reasonable and the experience and food are excellent.

This was our first time dining here and probably our last. Our waiter didn’t really know how to talk to humans so it was an awkward experience there. Maybe he was new so that’s okay. We never got offered refills on our drinks and he didn’t come back until the check once the food arrived.
Hokkaido offers a good sized menu with lots of sushi options, however $16ish per roll in Idaho quality sushi is high. The appetizers are well priced.
We dined in and ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen, Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl, Gyoza, and Chicken Karaage.
The gyoza was 6 pieces for $6, which is fair, and the best part of our meal. Perfectly pan seared with a good taste.
The karaage was juicy but not crunchy at all. I expect crunchy out of karaage so this was disappointing. This dish also needed more seasoning as it just tasted like moist friend chicken, instead of relying on the sauce that tasted like salsa at first.
The Tonkatsu Ramen was bland. Not anything to talk about.
The Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl was a good sized portion but the chicken was dry and they don’t give you enough sauce.
Overall: The restaurant has a good feel, the staff could be better, and the food needs more flavor/seasoning.

Unless you want to eat giant hair stuck to your sushi roll, I wouldn’t order here:) I also paid an extra dollar for cream cheese, and none was in my roll. I called and spoke to the manager who didn’t offer to remake my roll or get me any replacement food which is horrible customer service in my opinion, and just told me I’d have to contact doordash for a refund (which doordash didn’t even give me, so I wasted 17 dollars here.) I would have rather just gotten new food or at least offered it.
