Good and authentic ramen at Mitsuwa. I had miso ramen. Love the texture and the broth. Rich and flavorful. The pork slice is 4/5. Overall a great ramen spot at the area.

It’s in a food court so many seats and tables around. But it gets busy quickly. I will suggest to go at opening time.

The staff is helpful and efficient. You order at the counter, wait for your buzzer to go off the go get the food. It’s a little wait but food is good. And again I went at the opening time.

I consider myself somewhat of a ramen enthusiast, and unfortunately this one didn’t live up to expectations. The noodles had a powdery texture, and the broth was flat and lacking flavor. I finished it more out of obligation than enjoyment. I won’t be coming back for this one.

Good ramen. Large is a good size. Their spicy isn’t very spicy.

Reasonable cost but the toppings they give you are tiny. Rough times for the economy perhaps.

Otherwise delicious meat and good ramen broth.

We drive up state quite often and to say that we go out of our way to eat here would be an understatement.
This whole establishment is an experience, Mitsuwa is definitely a place to stop when you’re hungry. The Hokkaido Ramen at this location is pretty small, sometimes seats are hard to find as it gets packed, but the food is *chef’s kiss*
This combo is our favorite, from the broth, to the egg, the salmon and rice. It’s like a warm hug. We often day dream about coming here regularly. We’ll definitely be back to try the other combos. Highly recommend!

So I’m leaving this review because of the quality that I received on a delivery order. I ordered their miso ramen that has three size options. Small, medium and large. I chose the largest size. When I received my order my soup was quite small. But because of delivery and packaging it didn’t bother me. What bothered me is that the soup only came with one piece of chashu which is the protein that is served with the soup. I ordered the largest size options and receive one small piece of meat? To be honest it was insane and it immediately ruined my appetite. Will not be ordering from here again. Absolute rip off.

I had the spicy miso ramen and here is my feedback on 3 items:

1. Broth was delicious, rich, and not too spicy.
2. Noodles were thin, cooked right and tasty
3. Meat was out of this world, very tasty and soft!! The egg was well done, too.

If you’re a fan of Japanese ramen and find yourself near New York City or New Jersey, this is a must-stop spot! On our road trip from Boston to Florida and back, we made sure to stop here both ways. While their prices are a bit higher than nearby vendors, the place is always packed with customers — a true testament to its popularity. We especially loved their combo options, and the noodles tasted incredibly authentic.

This was my go to ramen place in Nj since 2019 and for the last few years quality has gone down. Soft boiled eggs used to be the standard and that slowly turned to hard boiled and now soft boiled is an upgrade. The portions of meat is smaller and not as tender as it used to be. It’s just a bowl of mostly noodles now. Broth is still ok but lately new ramen spots have been popping up with broth on par with Santouka in its prime. Overall what used to be the main reason my family did the 90 min hike there is now just a memory.

Revised.

Looks like this place outperform every other places in the food court inside of Mitsuwa. That explains quite substantial waiting to get your food, often exceeding 30+ minutes during weekends.

I had mine during a Friday afternoon and it exceeded my first experience. Their consistency is praiseworthy. It’s very difficult to keep the food quality in a food court setting and my revised rating reflects that.

Original review :
Feel like I got what I paid for. Salt ramen was solid and $2 natto rice was a deal. Some other restaurants inside Mitsuwa market have deteriorated with food quality over the years, so this ramen place is my go to place whenever I visit the food court.

This ramen spot has quite a reputation, so I decided to try their Shoyu Ramen + Natto Rice. Unfortunately, the flavors were a bit too mild for my taste—nothing particularly exciting. Would love to give it another shot with a different dish next time!
