Hokkaido is a great spot for Japanese food in Southampton. There’s so much choice on the menu so I could have ordered sooo much more. The sushi was really good and the decoration inside is so pretty too! Definitely worth a visit if you’re a sushi/Japanese fan.

Came here for dinner on NYE.
Service was excellent throughout, very welcoming and our server was lovely and attentive.
Food was very good. We had the crunchy special roll and the surf n turf roll which were both so tasty and unique.
The miso ramen was excellent too, broth was delicious and full of flavour.
Don’t skip on the homemade lemonades because the lychee one was amazing!
Will definitely be back!

We came to this restaurant on a Friday evening around 8pm as walk-ins, and they were incredibly welcoming and happy to seat us at the last minute.
The food was great, the staff were lovely, and everything was beautifully presented. We really enjoyed our time here.
Prices were pretty standard for sushi, and we’d definitely come again.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Hokkaido Japanese & Ramen, and it was honestly one of the most romantic and memorable dining experiences we had.
Our servers were so sweet, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They checked on us regularly without ever being intrusive, making the whole evening feel relaxed and effortless.

Had a Fantastic dinner with my partner and newborn baby.
The food was incredible and very reasonably priced for the quality and the freshness.
We tryed 2 different ramens and a selection of sushi with mochi dessert to finish and left very full and satisfied.
The atmosphere is great, a blend of neo Tokyo with old japan with attention to detail of it all. Toilets are very clean and well looked after.
The staff gave you space but at the same time didnt feel like you were looking for them.
All in all highly recommend

Went here today after reading great reviews. This place is amazing and definitely worth coming to. We had an amazing meal trying lots of different dishes. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the food was with us within minutes cooked fresh. Highly recommend it here!!

Me and my mum went and honestly wish they were a chain. Food was absolutely lovely and the staff were very friendly. We did not have any sushi and other delicacies, but we had the ramen, stir fry and fried rice. Everything was beautifully cooked, and again, we wish there was one in London where we live. Thank you to the staff working the evening of 18/12/2025 ❤️
