Stopped in finally on a Wednesday night, not too crowded (I’ve driven past and it’s packed) so I was able to sit at the bar, get to know the people who work there and now this will be my bump day spot! Alex is bartender/manager, he knows everything about the menu and drinks, how can you go wrong. They have lake TVs so you can catch you favorite local team or whoever is playing or hang out with the family or sig other. I love this place!

Food was simply amazing. The waiter was friendly and brought us our drinks right away. I had the octopus and my husband had the steak. All our food was cooked to perfection. The vibe is nice and quite not to loud. We will definitely be returning to this little gem.

I had an incredible dinner at Hoja Santa in Oak Park. I ordered the medium-rare NY Strip Steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The yuca fries with chimichurri were on a whole different level; truly out of this world. I paired everything with two glasses of cabernet, which made the whole meal even better.
The ambiance is quiet and comfortable, making it a great spot to unwind, and the location is super convenient. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were genuinely attentive and made me feel as if I had been there many times before—like a regular. That kind of warmth is rare and really elevated the experience.
Highly recommend.

Great vibes! Great staff! Great food! David attended to us at the bar; excellent service! I had the “Pescado”; Pan- seared black sea bass, sauteed shrimp, roasted red potato, kale, chili chilaca sauce. I also had a side of Chimichurri sauce; I love Chimichurri! I cleared the plate; every bit of it was delicious. My cousins enjoyed their pizzas and Molcajete Hoja Santa; Frijoles(beans) charros, sliced ribeye, shrimp, cheese, corn, tomato jalapeño relish. Their house made tortillas are perfect! I tried one of my cousin’s; I’d like to come back and try their tacos!

I’m gonna give them a four star cause the food was good! And the service was great! However, it is really overpriced for Mexican/American fusion cuisine! Ambience is great! But I’ve paid a whole lot less for food that tasted better!

Holy moly the food here is beyond delicious. The flavor combinations are out of this world. The calabasa was recommended by one of the staff and it was outstanding. The tuna crudo was also outstanding. Looking forward to coming back.

We dined here as a family and unfortunately were not impressed with the food, especially given the prices. My son ordered two tostadas with skirt steak, and my daughter had the 8 oz filet mignon. For the cost, the quality and flavor did not meet expectations.
I also ordered the tuétano, which was particularly disappointing. It was served without lime, acidity, or any accompaniments to balance the richness—no contrast at all. The only salsa provided was very mild and did little to enhance the flavor. I ended up using my daughter’s sauce just to make it more tolerable.
Overall, the food felt overpriced for what was delivered. The guacamole was $20 and was gross. I make better guacamole at my house than this. The experience gave the impression that this restaurant is much more focused on cocktails and ambiance than on the food itself.
That said, the drinks were enjoyable, and I would consider returning for cocktails—but not for a full meal. I am open to try other dishes.

Can’t remember when we had a better experience out. Cozy but lively atmosphere. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. We had the Molcajete Hoja Santa, it’s a must order. The beef and shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly, fire roasted tortillas a great addition to the dish. A flavor packed 10/10. We also had the Birra pizza, which was rich, could have used a bit more raddish to cut the richness. Definitely a dish you can split 8/10. The drinks are delicious and well presented. Don’t skip dessert, they are exceptional, the tres leches was airy and luscious. Nieve Frita has great textures and sweet flavors.

On a busy Saturday afternoon of indecision about where to eat, my boyfriend and I ended up here. We couldn’t sit inside due to a party but there is a cute patio and the weather was decently mild. We started with the guac and I had a coconut mojito which was awesome. Unfortunately they were out of filet, which my boyfriend had his heart set on. He switched to the skirt steak and I got the jalepeno gnocchi with shrimp and a cilantro cream sauce. The portions were huge and we definitely had leftovers. They were very generous with the shrimp and all of the protein meals are served on thick charcuterie boards which adds to the overall esthetic. We will definitely be back to try more dishes! Our server David was very pleasant and attentive as well!

The experience was amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. The ambiance was wonderful, and I truly enjoyed myself, along with my partner. The drinks were perfect, especially the mole old fashioned. I’ll definitely be back. My waiter was incredibly attentive—thank you!
