Honestly this is the best Vietnamese spot I’ve found in Belgium. The owner is super friendly and you can tell she really loves cooking. The food tastes amazing and so authentic. Prices are fair, portions are just right, and everything is homemade. I always go for the Bun Bo Hue and the Vietnamese iced tea. Highly recommend!!!

First of all, if you’re looking for a fine dining experience, this isn’t the place for you. What you’ll find here is the authentic taste of Vietnamese cuisine. Simple, bold, and full of flavor. Maybe that’s why the term “street food” is proudly placed at the front.
Secondly, the food was absolutely on fire. Not in terms of spiciness (though you can ask Ms. Thao nicely if you’d like it hot), but in flavor and authenticity.
We started with all four of the restaurant’s available starters. They were all good, but the real stars of the show were the main courses. We had the classic Bun Bo Hue, Bun Cha Ha Noi, and Shaking Beef (Bo Luc Lac). In my opinion, the Bun Bo Hue and the Shaking Beef were as authentic as it gets. The Bun Cha wasn’t really my thing, but it still tasted great.
And of course, the true highlight is Ms. Thao herself. She may speak a bit loudly, but her passion and deep knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine are unmatched. She guided us on what to try and how to enjoy it properly. Overall, a very warm, energetic, and delightful host.
Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Amazing, amazing food and an amazing host. Made me nostalgic for Vietnam. The flavours, the ingredients- so wonderful. The chef brings so many ingredients from Vietnam, including beautiful coffee and calamansi!

It is a great place! I went with some Chinese friends who also moved to Belgium and my daughter and we all loved it. I had a warm version of their Vietnamese coffee and I shared an iced lemon tea drink with my daughter. We also had a beef noodle dish that was delicious. The owner is very nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was colourful and made the experience very nice. They are also very dog friendly. I really recommend this place.

Hoi An Vietnamese Street Food – A Hidden Gem in Antwerp
At the end of March 2025, I visited the beautiful city of Antwerp with Robert to attend Fearless, an international wedding photography conference. We arrived a few days earlier, allowing us to explore the city together. Antwerp is an absolute delight—rich in history, full of character, and best enjoyed by bike! We spent our days cycling through its stunning historic streets, entirely captivated by its beauty.
We turned to Google for dinner recommendations and discovered Hoi An Vietnamese Street Food. Don’t be misled by its simple exterior—it may not be the most stylish-looking place, and the interior is quite plain, but the food is incredible. It is authentic, bursting with flavour.
Thao, the owner, is very chatty, warm and welcoming. She profoundly loves Vietnamese cuisine and culture, and it shines through in every dish. As big Vietnamese and Thai food fans, Robert and I were in heaven!
We didn’t have a reservation but arrived early and managed to get a table. However, this cosy little spot is extremely popular, so if you don’t book ahead, be sure to come early to secure a seat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would have returned in a heartbeat—if only the restaurant wasn’t closed on Mondays! A big thank you to Thao and his family for the lovely food and hospitality. If you’re in Antwerp and looking for a truly authentic Vietnamese experience, Hoi An is a must-visit!

We had a lovely dinner at Hoi An Streetfood. The owner was very sweet and brought us extra chilli paste and showed us the cinnamon she buys from Vietnam. She also told us about all the spices and things she brings from Vietnam to make her food authentic. Loved it and highly recommend!
