The inside will remind you of your grandparents’ decor, but the food is delicious and well worth a visit… The clam chowder is excellent and actually has big chunks of clams. The bread pudding is amazing.I will absolutely go back there no matter how lame the inside of it is decorated. Waitstaff is super friendly and attentive. So nice to be able to get a home-cooked meal.

Hoge’s Restraunt is quite honestly, the BEST Restraunt we’ve eaten at in a long time ! The atmosphere is so homey, extremely clean , and the food is home cooked heavenly deliciousness ! I had the stuffed pepper soup, hubby had liver & onions, incredible ( both of them).
Dessert was offered, they had six different pies, five flavors of homemade cakes, I opted for the lemon cake & husband got the peach pie… INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! We live an hour away and may go here on Friday’s for this wonderful, clean & friendly atmosphere & the MOST DELICIOUS FOOD, EVER!

Spaghetti was not very good the sauce tasted burnt and was watery the meatballs were fresh but no seasoning the garlic. Toast was just God awful took one bite and spit it out

Not good. Actually BAD. 3 of us went. 1 ordered stuffed pork chops. The pork smelled and tasted old. Like never should have been cooked old. Like thrown out old. 1 got a hot dog and almost didn’t make it home before diarrhea started and lasted all night. I got an Average burger that exploded with the first bite. Fell apart. Won’t be back

If you get off the Calcutta exit…dont go to the chain restaurants…head a quarter mile in the opposite direction and you will find Hoge’s Family Restaurant where the food is like something wonderful your grandma would make you and the service is A+ and they treat you like you’re part of the family.
