Love spending quality time with my family here over many years, eating good pies, drinking a beer, and having great service.
Also love that they’re closed on Sundays so everyone can enjoy their time with their family, and keep New Castle a sleepy town on the Lords day of rest.

New Castle Hogback Pizza is the best spot. The staff is awesome and they always help you out with a smile. Good customer service followed by great food. If y’all haven’t been you need to check them out! Hands down Best pizza in the valley!!! I’d go as far to say this is the best pizza in Colorado!!!!

We absolutely love this place…best pizza in the Roaring Fork Valley. It’s a great place for a family meal or to grab a bite and beers with friends. My husband and I come into Hogbacks all the time to play pinball. We LOVE the staff, they have always been so welcoming and friendly. And we LOVE the pizza! Never thought of cutting a pizza into squares but somehow with the thin crust it makes the pizza taste even better. Their ricotta is also some of the best I’ve ever had. The creaminess and the texture levels up their pizzas and calzones. Finally, the deep dish is another gem to try if you’re a cheese lover. We’re talking classic cheese pull challenge status, pull a slice and watch the cheese stretch!

Hogback Pizza isn’t just our favorite pizza place, it’s been filled with great family memories. We ate here while I was pregnant (and very overdue) with both of our kids, ordering the spicy El Guapo in hopes it might help get things moving. I’m pretty sure those babies survived teething by gumming that exceptionally delicious thin crust once they arrived.
Beyond the food (which we’ve honestly never had a miss on), the owners are some of the most community-oriented, genuinely good people you’ll meet. They’ve built a team that reflects those same values, friendly, hardworking, and always welcoming.
A couple of our go to favorites are hog knuckles, el guapo and triple bypass. Don’t sleep on the sandwiches and calzones, they’re just as incredible as the pizza. We’re in at least once a week, and that’s not changing anytime soon.

Love this place! The pizza is a+ the atmosphere is amazing. Im happy that they take sundays off to spend with thier families and its clearly not all about “money” to them. Lovely people cant wait till im back in town!

The best pizza in Garfield county IMO. Great and quality toppings and pizza, atmosphere, and small town vibe. The Italian sub is also so so delicious!

This place definitely has a backyard BBQ feel to it.
The staff are comfortable and very friendly.
They only had outdoor seating under a tent right now so if you’re staying, be aware of the weather.
The Pizza is great. Their style reminds me of Beau Jo’s.
The cheesy breadsticks are also popular. I would compare them to Pizza Huts, except you can tell Hogback’s ingredients are really fresh.
my only issue is that the tables are wobbly and we spilled our drinks several times when another table’s dog kept bumping into our table.
One time our whole pizza almost fell off. It’s was a weird situation because the staff (understandably) didn’t want a scene and the other party was just trying to ignore the situation.
I love dogs, but for crying out loud, please keep an eye on your pet.
