This is the way all restaurants should be. Simple, one sheet menu, CLEAN, really cold beer, good food. The bonus here is having a gimmick or at least a theme with a lot of WW2 decorations. Comfortable place to go. Two thumbs up!

Great atmosphere. Awesome arcade and games. No billiards, but they do have darts and digital bowling. Mini retro games on the arcade. The place is Cash only, but well worth it. Grabbing the Cubano now! *Update* I wish the 3rd swine was traditional roasted pork, but it was yummy nonetheless!

I’ve only been here twice, I have to drive all the way from Ocala. I had the #2 (their version of an Italian sub), and #12 (pastrami and corned beef- hot). OMG! So Good! They are generous with the toppings and you can’t beat the price for the quality and amount you get. There’s been a long line when I went but they moved that food out really fast. I ordered a Cuban to go because I just couldn’t wait to get back there to try it, lol! Next time I want to try the chef’s salad- I saw a picture on the wall. Love this place!

It looked like a Gator fan favorite. Everyone was friendly, and pretty good sandwiches. Cash only so make sure to be prepared. Good , big draft beers, and lots of football conversations. We enjoyed their hospitality.

It’s a classic, long running sandwich shop in Gainesville. The Italian (their #1) and the Cuban special were both tasty and fresh but ordering was slightly vague. Also, they only take cash forcing you to use the conveniently located ATM. In my opinion, not making convenience a priority just to squeeze a little extra, dare I say double dip, from your partons who are already paying for your food w an ATM surcharge is kinda silly and cheap. But Hogan’s was here when I went to UF and I wanted to try again to see… verdict….sandwiches are good, the 12″ could easily feed 2 very hungry people but the cash only option is dated and a pain. I’ll prob try The Paper Bag next time…if it’s still there, apparently Gainesville restaurants have trouble w staying power.

Heard so many good things about this place and finally getting to go was well worth it! The food is amazing. If you are expecting subway, no no no. These Sammies are packed and so well worth it. They even asked if I wanted half of my foot long wrapped up, I get why now. I finished it, but wow. Super think sandwich and great tasting!!! Go a little further down to the bar and get some beer. Great selection for sure and everything from the Sammies to the beer is inexpensive. Cash only to give you heads up but there is an ATM inside. So worth it!!!!

I used to come to Hogans in the early 2000s, and haven’t been back since because I moved. I just went back and everything was just the same, Great subs, at Great prices, two people can dine less than 20.00.
