I’m a truck driver and Iook for good BBQ all over the south. I just ate for the first time at Hog-N-Bones and boy am I a happy truck driver now. The place looked great. I ate a Hog-N-Slaw. (By the way I. My mind if it doesn’t have cold slaw on it then it’s not a BBQ.) It comes on toasted bread. I mixed their hot and sweet sauces. I promise it’s one of the best BBQ’S I’ve had in a long time. And they did not overcharge. $5.29 for that sandwich. My wife had the same sandwich but added onion petals and a drink and hers was under $10.00. Treat yourself good. Go there and eat

This is my go-to place for friendly service, delicious food, and laid back hometown atmosphere. Breakfast is amazing. Eggs, grits, pancakes, build your own bowl, and don’t forget the blueberry biscuits!
Wonderful smoky bbq. for lunch or supper but that’s not all! There’s shrimp, grilled chicken, and salads too. We never get tired of eating at Hog n bones.

Want to experience an out of Jesup experience without using all your gas? Then this is the place. Tasty tender chicken, warm gooey blueberry biscuits, and sweet potato suffle’ that makes you melt as if your grandma just hugged you.
You will not be disappointed when you chose this for your breakfast lunch or dinner.

Good gracious the food was so good it put my hometown to shame. Service was very friendly but let’s get back to how good that meal was. My husband and I split the half rack of ribs with their sweet potato soufflé and potato salad. Every few bites we looked at each other. Have you ever shook your head in disbelief that something tastes THAT good? I started to wonder if Jesup was some kind of anomaly. All the restaurants around here have way higher reviews than where we are from. Ribs were super tender, the sweet potato soufflé gave me a small taste of heaven, and the potato salad literally made me say out loud,” what did they put in this? This is TOO good.” We weren’t exaggerating. These were our candid reactions to what we originally thought was going to be a standard barbecue joint. At the bottom of the receipt it has scripture that says,” Taste and see that the LORD is good.” All I can say is AMEN.

Ordered over $35 worth of food and everything was old. Ribs were hard and tough but ate them because I live so far to take back. My potato was old and shriveled up. Only thing that was worth eating was the Mac and cheese. I’m very disappointed because my food usually be fresh and worth the money but not so much lately.
Edit: 2/13
Ordered ribs, Mac and cheese, and sweet potato soufflé…. It was all delicious so ribs was a little tough but wayyyy better than last time….. I know the time of day probably determines how the food is prepared but I’ll forever be a customer .

They did it. They created the perfect breakfast experience.
Chicken biscuits, BBQ, pancakes, a la carte or as a meal. Great prices, perfect portions, all bursting with flavor. I can order at the counter and sit down without needing a waitress (I’m sorry, I hate being waited on for a casual breakfast), yet it feels nicer than a typical country barbecue joint.
My only complaint is that there isn’t one closer to home – but I’ll be back!
(Clarification: I live less than a half hour away and that’s too far )

Roxanne is an example of how ALL customer service people should be. She is so pleasant and just made my night with her hospitality. I gave 4 stars because it has taken a long while to get my order the past few times I’ve been here.

I come thru the drive thru around 3 times a week on my lunch break. The customer service is always great and the food is also great. However, this was absolutely not the case just a few minutes ago. I ordered a kids pulled pork sandwich combo. My side was fries and a large tea to drink. When I pulled around to the window, I was given the wrong drink. I asked her could she please exchange it. I apologized and she said nothing. She rolled her eyes and acted as if I had inconvenienced her. Then when my food was given to me, I didn’t have my fries in the bag. Once again, I apologize and ask for my fries. She once again says nothing and is very irritated at this point. She brings the bag back and hands it to me and said the fries were in the bag and once again, I apologized for not seeing them and once again, she says nothing and rolls her eyes. I said thank you and have a good day. She shut the window. She said nothing back to me. Then I get back to work and my sauce wasn’t in the bag. I ate it plain. No big deal about that, but very big deal on how I was treated. I should’ve not apologized for anything. She should’ve been apologizing because she inconvenienced me on my 30 minute lunch break. She was the rudest person I have dealt with in a very long time. This needs to be addressed or I will not be coming back. She made me feel horrible.

We eat here regularly, and I don’t think it’s a bad place, BUT sometimes a bad review is the only way to get someone’s attention. I ordered a chicken tender plate and when I got home it looked like one was half eaten. So I called and spoke to a manager and their response was “it’s not eaten, it’s where it was stuck to another one and I they broke it off.” So I asked why that is acceptable to pay for 5 tenders and get 4 and a half…..no response to that besides “it’s normal.” This isn’t acceptable. I wouldn’t serve this simply because it looks like someone took a bite out of it.
