Went here for Valentine’s for the first time and it was pretty good! Atmosphere was definitely a bit loud, parking wasn’t great either, but great service. Food took a very long time, which is understandable for a holiday. Can’t exactly remember what I ordered, but it was polenta with an over easy egg and slow cooked short rib, maybe? It was good, but I wouldn’t order again because I did not realize it would be cooked in gravy and I dislike gravy. Also could have had some roasted veggie of some sort. Pizza was alright, pretty simple, but tasty. Ordered sausage balls too, which I was not a huge fan of since they were fried and I’m not even sure if I could taste sausage. Now the best part was the soft serve gelato. It was delicious and the perfect amount!

Fresh! Innovative! Delicious! We were one of the first customers to arrive and were able to take the space in without intrusion. We didn’t enjoy it for long however. LOL Please make reservations as this restaurant is popular and filled up quickly!
The crab claws are to die for! We enjoyed the steak salad and the tuna salad. My tuna salad… OH MY GOODNESS! ❤️ I understand why they earned a Michelin in 2025!

We visted on Valentines day. We ordered a pizza, poutine, and the avocado mash. The food was good but the atmosphere was awful. The service was decent for a busy day but we could see that other tables received their food and drinks much faster. Even if it wasn’t packed, you can hear every noise in the restaurant because it has a metal ceiling like an aircraft hanger. Every noise echoes and it’s overwhelming. We had kids seated near us and when one would scream it would disturb absolutely everyone. And the parking lot literally only fits eight cars. All the parking lots near the restaurant have signs posted that they will tow you if you park there and/or they block their lots. Its chaotic and loud. We went because they won a 2025 Michelin star but the chaos and noise isn’t worth returning.

I have been here for a dinner and brunch now and it does not disappoint! The pepperoni pizza with honey is UNREAL! For brunch we tried a little of everything. The sausage balls are an MUST, I could eat 78. The poutine was amazing. Everyone near me was eating the burger so we had to try that. It was very good. The shrimp and grits were good also! Such a lovely atmosphere and great service !

Parking is horrible, had to park a few blocks away. Overall the service was slow, the food was good, had the pig ears as an appetizer, Collards & Hominy/ Poutine/ Thunderbirdi as main corse. Lemon ice box for dessert. Great pricing for quality of food.

Hard not to love this place! Every single staff member is kind and engaging. I have been going to Hog and Hominy for years and it makes me so happy that they have continued to experiment and expand the menu. I went for brunch on Sunday and had sausage balls, fried artichoke hearts, and the short rib! I also highly recommend sitting at the bar and chatting with their bar tenders – they have amazing suggestions and hilarious stories!

I usually eat here anytime I’m in town. The pizza is always good. Service can be hit or miss. This time, I called in my order. They forgot my pound cake, so I had to wait an extra 10 minutes. I should’ve told them not to worry about the cake, because it wasn’t anything special—I like the lemon icebox pie better. Also, no plasticware was included. I mentioned to the hostess that I had just flown into town and was grabbing dinner before checking into a hotel. The cake came with whipped cream and sauce, so it would’ve been thoughtful to include utensils.

We had the crab claws which were delicious! Great flavor! We ordered the steak and unfortunately there was a hair in the steak. Mistakes happen. They handled it professionally and made a new steak promptly. The steak was ok but honestly I expected more and I don’t mean a hair more! 🙂 the flavor was good but the texture was a bit tough & it was overcooked. They also compted us a dessert so we tried the peanut butter pie. It was amazing! Our waitress, Payton, was great! She was friendly and professional. She also gave us information on local attractions. She is 10 stars!!!

March 6th was my first experience at Hog & Hominy, and what an experience it was. I was 2 friends, and our visit was completely impromptu- no reservations.

The restaurant was buzzing. Happy people were clearly enjoying great food and drinks. We were escorted to a corner table on the patio. At our server’s suggestion, I started with the Velveteen Rabbit cocktail. It was refreshing yet very adult- definitely not my last time ordering.

For starters, my friends and I shared pig ears, cheesy bread, and crab claws. The pig ears tasted like ultra‑crispy hot wing skin, only better. The crab claws were absolutely devine and were smothered in a luscious butter sauce with just a hint of lemon. The cheesy bread was already decadent, but dipping it into that crab butter sauce sent all of us to culinary heaven. We also shared an incredibly fresh romaine salad that was anything but ordinary—it had crispy fried chicken skin! Not a morsel was left behind.

Both our server and the manager insisted we try the pizza and strongly recommended ordering two. I went along with it, even though I briefly considered branching out—but I’m so glad I listened. We ordered the Thunderbird and the pumpkin pizza. The Thunderbird is a pepperoni pizza or sorts, but calling it that doesn’t do it justice. It truly is a Thunderbird. We dipped the crusts into that leftover clam butter sauce- phenomenal. The pumpkin pizza was also excellent, that had a subtle sweetness that balanced beautifully.

For dessert, we split the lemon icebox pie. It was not only delicious. It was special.

That Thunderbird though! This was by far the best Memphis restaurant experience I’ve had in years.

Great experience, the service was very nice. We went for the pizzas, which were unique and made with good ingredients (though a little bit too spicy). The cocktails and the desserts were just average.
