Overall, I enjoyed my pastry and mocha. The atmosphere is nice with views out to the downtown park and nice seating areas. Pastries are made fresh daily on site and can taste the freshness. Lots of choices in pastries and baked goods. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The mocha i get is good and they do have options of dairy or non dairy. All things considered they deserve the 5 stars. Will be back to try more and update accordingly.

I adore this place. I go there to read and grab pastries for friends often. The location is excellent and service is stellar. The employees are amazingly sweet. I am a bit of a coffee snob and find their coffee to be average but very convenient. I love the soups, almond crescents, and omelettes. They are very attentive to my allergies. I hope they keep adding gluten free options!!

What a gem of a bakery! Their selection of goodies is incredible. Cookies, croissants, soups, cakes, macaroons, pies, sandwiches, quesadillas! AND they have some gluten free baked items (not a ton, but the gluten free macaroon I got was delicious!)

The princess cake is insanely good, I used to live in Sweden and it’s such a rare find here but they actually use a ton of marzipan and it’s very true to the real taste! All the pastries and breakfast dishes I’ve had here have been good, but dining in is hit-or-miss. The park view is really nice and there’s good spacing between tables, but one time I got the wrong latte and they served my egg benedict with ham even though I asked for it without (I’m vegetarian) at the same meal so that was kind of a bust.

Always clean! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pastries are delicious and I love the different varieties. Their cookies are super cute but my absolute most favorite really is the fruit tart. It’s so delicate and every bite is just pure goodness! We get the carrot cake for my husband’s birthday and it’s always a huge hit.

Taste-wise this place is 5 stars, especially the chocolate fudge thumbprints. But you’re definitely paying for the quality. I know prices for eateries have been going up everywhere in the greater Seattle area, but I still don’t think my mom would have let me get the dinosaur-shaped iced cookies if they were priced inflation-adjusted to how they are now back when I was a kid.

The cakes are amazing!!! I wish the chocolate cake a was bit more moist, but this is as close to perfection as I have gotten in the USA. The service is ok. We have to clear our own table, so I don’t understand why we have to tip. I have worked in the hospitality industry before. The tipping has gotten out of hand, but it is not only here. A plus is that you can park in the in door garage and let the person that takes your order know and they will give you free parking for two hours, very convenient when the street parking is taken.

Disappointed with the special $85 cake I bought for my bf’s birthday. Ordered the Princess Torte believing it had raspberry jam as one of the layers. Barely taste the raspberry! Here’s the first 2 slices, 2 sizes. Wish I knew the raspberry wasn’t really a noticeable part, would’ve chosen differently. The cake itself did taste good!

I think I tried enough items from Hoffman to give a well rounded review. The place is really good but there’s better coffee and pastry places in this area. Coffee was good but I haven’t found better coffee than soul coffee house in Redmond area. The coconut Macron was bit too sweet IMO. Other items were okay.
Service is good – good folks and nice ambience.
