Absolutely love this place. Love the food. Love the vibe. Love the service. Love. Love. Love. Been here many times and never bored. There are so many options for whatever you feel like on the day or night. Have taken friends and loved ones here; and they always love it, too. Hofbräuhaus Melbourne certainly captures the spirit of a true German beerhall!

Can’t get over how great my whole dining experience tonight was!!
I went to this German restaurant with my mom and my partner. The minute we walked in, a staff greeted us with a big smile. She was lovely and cheery!
We sat down at the table we were escorted to. Then another staff came to our table and took our drinks orders.
The whole ambiance was festive with the fun traditional live music. A lady was asking visiting table to table if it was anybody’s birthday.
Later, one of the staff with a microphone again hopped from table to table to invite some guests to the front for some sort of group dance to the live music.
The food was very good too. Schnitzel never goes wrong, was incredible. Sausages and desserts were slightly average though.
Not too complicated but rather simple and yet scrumptious.
They were busy all night but all staff were working happily with positive energy.
I’m gonna go back there again with my friends.

Great experience & beautiful food & drinks. If you have never experienced Germany, this is a huge must, and if you have been to Germany, you’ll Want to come here. The staff are friendly too, which is nice in a big city. The Oktoberfest ale was very easy to drink & perfect.

Great night out and good time of year to join in on the Christmas celebrations. Service right from the get go was excellent. Atmosphere in the restaurant was awesome. Will eat in the beer hall next time. Our food was delicious and will definitely be back to try more dishes. The wurst platter is great for sharing between two people and the bread dumpling and Kasespatzle were on point. I did find the apfelstrudel a little disappointing as no crispy pastry at all, was just completely soft and moist. Beer of course was on point

Booked a table for 2 online a d was surprised on how easy it was and was even able to say my guest required gluten free options. On arriving, we found it very busy but was met quickly by a staff member within minutes. We had arrived 20 minutes early but were able to get table easily. They had a band playing traditional beer hall music as well as some classic pub tunes. There was interaction between staff, band and customers which made the setting a joy to be apart of. We placed our drinks order and 5 minutes later I was enjoying a cold Bavarian stein. We then placed our main meal order and was happy it took only 15 minutes. I had the wiener schnitzel and found it similar to what I experienced in Austria. We then ordered dessert which I had the apple strudel. Usually I don’t eat sweet food but definitely could of eaten more. I found the whole experience fun and will definitely be back. I highly recommend .

The food is amazing and the servings are quite generous. It tastes as good as it looks. The fried garlic bread was sensational and the strudel is best I’ve ever had.
The only let down for me is the noise level. It was annoyingly loud and very difficult to hear conversations on my table. If you want a quiet night, this is not the place. If you want loud and live shows, then this place is perfect.

The Wurstplatte Sausage Platter was unreal: Bratwurst, Kransky, Chilli Kransky, and Nurnberger sausages with mash, sauerkraut, mustard, gherkins, and a rich dunkel beer sauce. Every bite was flavourful and satisfying.
The beers were just as good. I really enjoyed the Hofbrau Maibock and Maisel’s Weisse Dunkel. The atmosphere had proper, lively beer hall energy. The staff were friendly, and it all felt like a great place to have a night out.

Had a great time! The food was top shelf, tried my friends food also and wanted to order more! Everything I tried was to die for! Service was really good, quick with everything we wanted and took the time to make sure we were happy with everything! First time I have been but will not be my last for sure, going to make sure I bring more friends here in the future!

We ordered a Weiner Schnitzel and a Pork Schnitzel for our dinner and both plates were delicious.
Its a great venue as it also provided authentic German songs and entertainment whilst your enjoying your meal and beverage which is great.
Highly recommended to all and we will be back to enjoy Hofbrauhaus and what it offers its patrons.
