This is a fantastic spot to grab a bite before an event nearby. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of stadiums and theaters. Servers were nice and continuously checked in on us. The food was absolutely delicious! The burger had a fantastic flavor, the mac and cheese was incredible, and the pizza had a satisfying crunch around the crust. The atmosphere is perfect for any game day. We’ll definitely be returning to this place!

I got chili my wife the tips and zips.
I really enjoyed the chili and wish it had more sour cream. Tad more spicy than what I would have liked but always up to new things.
The tips were cooked perfectly so no compliant there. Overall great atmosphere great food just wish we had a bit more service from our wait staff.

Finally got to try Hockeytown Cafe, a spot I’ve always wanted to check out! My wife and I came here after a Red Wings game and had an awesome time. The staff were super friendly, and the food hit the spot. We especially loved the Three Little Pigs Pizza and the Mac & Cheese. Great drink selection too. The margaritas on tap were tasty, though I do wish they came with a salted rim, and I wasn’t big on them being served in plastic cups.
The place has that classic pub vibe, but the Red Wings theming really elevates it and makes it a must-visit for any hockey or Wings fan. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Our experience at Hockeytown Cafe was really… okay. Not bad, but not great either. Maybe even saying it was good would be a stretch. This is one of those places that charges $17 for a burger and then charges an additional $7 for fries. If I’m paying $17 for a handheld, I would like to think fries would be included.
The drinks here are as expensive if not more expensive than at a sporting event. Cocktail prices are ridiculous. But what I find particularly laughable is that they charge $7 for a Faygo. Um, what?
The food was bland. The service was inattentive even on a slow night. The atmosphere here is admittedly pretty cool but the rest of the experience makes it an easy decision to pass it by on an evening out downtown.

Got to Hockeytown Cafe early game day (Leafs Vs. Red Wings) ordered a couple of beers and hungry for small finger food. Forgot that we are in America and portions are huge. We only ordered the Nachos and they were fantastic. 2 of us couldn’t finish them. As for drinks, and bar service, Sarah P. was incredible. Very attentive to our likes and dislikes that her recommendations were spot on for beers we have never heard of.

We did not eat here (the food did look good, though), but stopped in for a few drinks prior to the baseball game. It’s literally right across the street from the stadium. There are two floors, so there is plenty of seating. The staff was very nice and friendly. There are motorcycles hanging from the ceiling. It has fun vibes.

I have been here a handful of times by myself or with friends. My experiences is always the same. The last particular time I was here having dinner before a Christian concert I was attending at Little Caesars arena next door with some friends. I stopped in and had some dry rub ribs that were actually really good 10/10. Service on the other hand is always all over the place the waitress who waited on us was at the bar speaking to another server loudly about customers and her co-workers 1/10. That’s mad disrespecful. Trust me I get it if you’re having a bad day but do it quietly to yourself or even in the back of the restaurant not in front of paying customers that was really rude. Anyway, every time I asked for a refill of my water or sauce for my food it never came. We eventually all got up and left after paying our bill of course. Definitely did not leave a tip. I’ve made up my mind up on going back here. It’s overrated‼️ overall nice building with never enough seating and long wait times 5/10

Our server Taylor, was extremely efficient, friendly and spot on. Checked on us regularly to make sure we were good. The pizza was delicious and the drinks had the right amount of alcohol in them. But kudos to Taylor, I haven’t had good service like that in a very long time

I was going to the Fox Theater when I stopped here. The place has good food and great staff. I sat at the bar, Marie was awesome. The manager was pretty cool as well. This place also had a good crowd.
Now the food. The prices here are not like other downtown restaurants. They are fairly priced. My friend had devilled eggs, and I believe the Couch Potatoes that were loaded. They said both were good and couldn’t finish them. I had The Usual Burger, it was cooked like as I ordered and it tasted good. The chips were just normal chips. I recommend this place.
