I just took my daughter and her best friend (8 and 12) to Hockey Sushi for my daughter’s 9th birthday (tomorrow). As always, the food, service and atmosphere were too notch. I have only eaten in this restaurant 3 or 4 times but I would have given a 5 star review EVERY visit. I highly reccommend this restaurant and can’t wait to visit again for another great meal. Great job to all the staff! They quickly brought every dish we ordered. I was very impressed. A very well staffed restaurant.

Great experience! We had our brunch there, and it was amazing!
Please is cozy, but a little old. The food was fantastic! All-you-can-eat was too much as we ate too much
Teriyaki, sushi, hand rolls, salads, and everything else were just delicious
Washrooms were dirty, though – it seemed that no one was cleaning for days, especially floors. Payment was accepted at a counter, which was unusual.
Overall, it is good for small gatherings and celebrations!

The servings are very big, great for sharing! Best Miso soup and salads selection, they have really fresh and sometimes hard to find items like ikura. The rolls are fun and different and the place has an open modern vibe with great art.

The food here is great, we’ll start there. The sushi is fresh and wonderful, the other cuisines are great, I really enjoy their food.
The service, on the other hand, needs some tweaking. The restaurant was not full, yet we experienced long wait times, not just got the food, but even just drink refills. We ended up leaving before dessert arrived, as we were already fed up with waiting and 25 minutes for a scoop of ice cream was where we decided it wasn’t worth it.
Could have just been a rough night, but that was our experience. The staff were friendly but the waits were very long compared with other “order from an iPad” sushi places. I hope they get this sorted, as the food really was great.

I went with some friends today for lunch, food was delicious, however stir fried udon was a little bit overcooked. They had a wide variety for AYCE and relatively cheap prices for the quality! One item I very strongly recommend is the teriyaki chicken roll! So yummy! The service was a little slow, might have just been the day, but food was fresh and fantastic. Bathrooms were a little dirty, could use some cleaning. Overall 8/10! Loved this place and will definitely be back soon!

Hockey Sushi has a great all you can eat Sushi menu with a lot of options. I “ate” my way through on a small part of their options. I found their sweet and sour soup to be excellent, all sushi I ordered was perfect and desserts were really good. All accompanied by a blended green tea which was well prepared.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
As to price…within the ballpark for an all you can eat Sushi menu at around 30 dollars for one person.

Stopped here on the way up to the cottage. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and modern atmosphere.
Very large menu with a mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is become the sushi had too much sause on them. Will know to ask for minimal sause next time. But other than that the raw sushi tasted fresh and OMG try the Ginger Icecream it was amazing !

The only real upside is that it’s currently the only all-you-can-eat sushi option in Peterborough. If you’re specifically craving AYCE sushi locally, this is your only choice. However, at $30 for a weekday Tuesday lunch menu, the pricing feels steep — especially when compared to all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in the GTA, where quality and variety are typically much better at a similar or even lower price point.
For people who usually eat AYCE in the GTA the food quality was definitely and noticeably below standard. The sushi lacked refinement, and some items felt rushed or poorly prepared. The soups were particularly underwhelming — bland, lacking depth of flavor, and not something I would recommend ordering.
While it’s convenient to have an AYCE sushi spot in town, the overall quality does not justify the price. I hope they improve both flavor and execution, because Peterborough deserves better.
