Surprisingly good! Driving down the 101 from SLO to LA, my daughter reminded me that it was way past lunchtime. This was the next stop that showed up in our search so we stopped. Didn’t have high hopes when I saw that it was the concession stand at a beach RV park, but food was delicious! I think the dough for my daughter’s pizza was hand-stretched; I saw a ball of pizza dough sitting on the counter. She enjoyed it and asked me to pack up her leftovers, which she did eat later (she is not someone to finish leftovers normally). And my veggie burger was so tasty, with a soft bun and fresh toppings. There were only two people behind the counter cooking everything made to order so we waited a while for our food, but it was nice to take in the salt air and watch the waves wash in. There were lots of picnic tables available, a public bathroom, and a filtered water dispenser to fill your bottles.

Nick is the park host and also the chef at the Hobson Beach Grill. He is super friendly and makes great food. He has Decades of cooking experience from owning restaurants in New York in California. We had several great conversations. Oh! The food was terrific. I had the steamed mussels with marinara sauce which was amazing. We also had a wonderful pizza and salad. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Last year when we stayed at Faria Beach people told us to check out the snack bar at Hobson Beach. Make sure you stop by.

I will post this silly little sigjn they had in their window to save you the 35 minute walk from mid Rincon pkwy. It would be too helpful to post the closure online or put a closed sign at top of campground. Brilliant move. It was also inconvenient in late June when you had your sign out by the campground advertising your shack, so we walked down to it and you were closed again. At some point, your sketchy inconsistent hours will catch up with you. I know it’s a beach shack, but maybe show some respect to people who want to guve you their money.

I’ve been walking from Mission SAN Buenaventura on the way to Mission Santa Barbara and was so excited to come across this small grill. Firat really stop in the past 9 miles. Dont let the tiny shack fool you its filled with a great selection of food. I bought the cheeseburger and coffee and I give both an A+.

Had a good breakfast burrito and a couple Arnold Palmers between us. Looks lime the food would be solid but we just were eating light. If you’re on a bike ride or nearby in one of the beaches or RV camping areas it would be a good place for a quick meal. FYI, closed on Thursday according to a sign on the order window.

Authentic pizza – the real deal, never frozen baked fresh! We had an amazing experience here when we stopped for a lunch during our bike ride. Tacked away, very charming with outdoor tables. Beach vibe. Plenty of food options to choose from!
