What is there not to love about the HOB! First date became a marriage and yearly celebration at the place where it all started! Excellent food, awesome crazy shot suggestions that taste great and some pretty damn cool bartenders!

Went here on a Friday night & they had live music and it was decorated for Halloween. food was great and staff friendly… They have a wheel you spin for a gamble shot that we spun a few times that had festive shots / gamble shots… Not a dine in place more like grab wings high top table kinda joint.

While walking about exploring Bordentown, NJ, we came across the young person cleaning outside tables. We asked Mike if they served food and had vegan options.
He said yes and got us some menus. Well, the rest is history. Had an awesome meal, and the service was great. We wouldn’t have stopped if Mike wasn’t approachable as others in that area are.

The quality of the food was disappointing, and the drinks were not up to the expected standard. Service was slow and the bartenders seemed overwhelmed. Wait times to get a drink were lengthy on a Thursday. The atmosphere felt off, very uncomfortable. I will not return.

This was an excellent find. The food was really delicious and well presented. The staff was very friendly, and attentive. You could sense allot of pride in the way they treated their customers. The tavern itself is old world nostalgic, with a young enthusiastic staff. Pleasantly impressed enough for a return visit when back in the area

We had a great dinner here. The food was really good. Mixed group so the vegan options were appreciated and enjoyed. Good beer selection. Dive bar atmosphere. Service was not good. There was barely anyone in there yet we had to keep asking for things instead of being checked on. Sat there for a long time before we could even give our drink order, let along the food.

Love the atmosphere of the small town bar. Food and drinks are great. I have been there for a few events and at some catered by them…. catering is top notch!!! Picture shows no justices but here is a little bit of everything I squeezed into 1 plate. I highly recommend them for your next event!

BORDENTOWN CITY: we are so happy a local told us about HOB Tavern because it is an awesome restaurant that is dog friendly! HOB Tavern is a cozy pub with one big bar that serves up American-style food, including vegetarian and vegan options. From wings, pretzels, tots, to burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more! They also do catering! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside, which is the best! It is a tight space around the bar, so have control of your pup so they do not get underfoot. There is also covered outdoor seating in the beer garden. The chicken cheesesteak and “big fat lie” vegan burger entree were delicious! Our server was also awesome! If we lived closer, this would be our hangout every day!
