All in all it was an amazing night, and we’re very grateful to you for making it happen!
R&D
We ordered a salad with perch the skin was flaccid and the overall appearance and plating was colourless . The perch was tasty but the flavour and appearance could have been improved with a hot sear in a cast iron fry pan since it was served skin on.
At some point, we’d like to come back and try the afternoon tea.
Most importantly, the food was excellent. Both the steak and the cornish game hen were cooked to perfection (the hen was served with some truly decadent creamy mashed potato). We were so impressed that we looked up who the chef was immediately after lol. We will definitely be back for the food again!!
our waitress was so kind and helpful.
my elderflower gin and tonic was not too sweet but just right.
the starter of oysters were cold and fresh with the perfect pairs to with it.
my main of trout was awesome. very interesting with the sides being overly seasoned and the fish being not seasoned but it was still good!
the gnocchi was awesome and saucy and the cashews on top worked well.
for my birthday we got a free choice of deserts and i got the carrot cheesecake which was absolutely amazing and i would reccomend it to everyone!
awesome experience being here, i would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting NOTL
Beef – very good, potatoes were hashed-style, and they were to die for. Lots of veggies provided.
Pear and goji salad – very tasty, nutty, and perfectly sweet.
Atmosphere – very antiquated. Not the best vibe unless you are going for something historic.
Service – terrific. Very handsome and polite waiter.
