The atmosphere was amazing with Vietnamese music. I was disappointed by meatballs and sardines as the portion size was small because in the menu it looks like there were more meatballs but the flavor of this dish was top notch. Would I eat it again? Yes. The banh xeo so soggy and bland with too much bean sprout but it satisfied my craving. I would be happy to come back to try other food though.

Authentic southern Vietnamese dishes are available at this Vietnamese restaurant, located in a busy shopping plaza that has many other Vietnamese restaurants and shops. The banh mi sandwiches were okay, and the pho soup was above average. Fast and friendly service. Parking is hectic and can be hard to find a spot.

“Absolutely incredible experience! We tried the Bò Né (Sizzling Steak and Eggs) and it was served perfectly on a cow-shaped cast iron plate. The meat was tender, the gravy was savory, and it paired beautifully with the fresh, crispy baguette. You can tell the ingredients are fresh—the pate and butter were rich and authentic. We also enjoyed the fresh spring rolls and the refreshing drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and the service was friendly. If you’re looking for a traditional Vietnamese brunch, this is the spot! Highly recommend.

Wonderful little hole-in-the-wall restaurant located on the edges of the Eden Center, the DMV’s Vietnamese hub. Hoang Viet Restaurant can be hard to spot, as it’s inside one of the little indoor shopping complexes in the corner of the broader Eden Center complex, right across the street from Happy Lamb Hot Pot. However, if you are lucky enough to find this shop, prepare to be wowed with some of the best and most authentic Hue cooking in the DMV.

This no-frills restaurant centers on Central / Northern Vietnam, with a particular focus on Bun Bo Hue, a super flavorful spicy beef and pork noodle soup with a rich, spicy broth and tons of mix-ins. I’m still dreaming about their bun rieu, a beautiful crab and shrimp noodle soup that comes with a generous helping of chewy rice noodles, tender and juicy shrimp, and a deeply flavorful, slightly spicy, and slightly sour and tangy broth made with tomatoes and crab. It comes topped with fresh scallions and green onions, as well as a few fried onions for a bit of crunch.

The service is efficient and friendly, and the food comes out incredibly quickly. When you’re done eating, you can walk up to the cashier to pay.

The service was amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. We loved the springs rolls, summer rolls and Beef BoNe. We’ll definitely be going back to visit and explore the menu further.

Thanks

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times on weekdays and I’ve always gotten their Bo Ne or their Banh Mi. I keep coming back to this place because the food is good and the French baguette is toasted. However, this time when I came they didn’t toast the French baguette for the Bo Ne or for the Banh Mi. They stated that it’s only comes out toasted when the bread is freshly baked… This restaurant similarly to most restaurant is a hit or miss depending on which staff is working and how busy they are. There needs to be better consistency before I consider coming back.

Came for the bo ne and it didn’t disappoint.

Don’t order the cafe sua da though – it had such a chemical-like taste.

Hoàng Viet Restaurant appears promising from the photos—with reasonable prices and a clean setup—but our experience with customer service was extremely disappointing.

We placed an order for both my wife and me, yet only one dish was served initially, forcing us to share while we waited over an hour for the second dish. Our server never checked on us, even though later-arriving guests received their orders promptly.

At one point, our server was eating lunch while we were still waiting, and when I finally went to pay, he realized our order had never been delivered. He then apologized and started discussing his personal frustrations and family issues, which was completely unprofessional.

Additionally, while I was paying, another staff member began cleaning our table even though my wife was still seated. As a fellow business owner, I believe customers should be valued, as they are the lifeblood of any business.

I sincerely hope the owner takes these issues seriously and improves the customer experience for future patrons.
