This place is wonderful! The staff is polite, the service is great and the pizza is even better than the service!!!! The price was reasonable as well. Thank you all for my unforgettable FIRST Hoagie experience. This will be my go-to pizzeria whenever I visit Dayton in the future.
The dining room was spotless and the bathrooms were super clean as well.

Many say that they make the best pizza in the area. This very old establishment has survived for several reasons. The secret recipe for their salad dressing is sought after. Subs are great too. Small homey atmosphere for dining in is very comfy. It’s an old reliable go-to for me and my family for years. You must try it

Hoagie’s was a staple for me in the 80s and early 90s when I lived nearby and worked in the Poe Avenue area. It had been a long time since I’d visited so I drove over (across town from Fairborn – about 25 minutes one way) and ordered when I got there. I got two pizzas, a whole Spider (one of my all time favorite sandwiches) and the stuffed garlic bread. I grabbed a Coke and sat outside on their patio in the lovely weather. 20-ish minutes later, they brought my order right out to me. It think it was about $40 and well worth it. The pizza was just as I remembered it – the big thing I love is their sauce has a great tomato flavor and isn’t too sweet. Great crust and well topped. I ordered my wife’s pizza light sauce and they did it perfectly. The Spider was everything I remembered and the stuffed bread sticks might be my wife’s new favorite thing. They have a nice amount of inside seating and the staff was very friendly. While I was waiting outside, it was a constant stream of folks coming for pickup orders. Hoagie’s is as good as I remember and it will be on our regular rotation going forward. I just made me happy to reconnect with some of those memories from my first job working in that area and to get back to Hoagie’s. If you have the chance, you should go.

As a kid (In the 80s) this was my favorite place to eat. I lived in Northland Village (before it got wild) and my dad would order this on Fridays when we were good kids during the week. The foil under the bread was a staple that I loved and I plan to visit again over the summer and introduce my family to REAL pizza!

We passed by this place for 3 DANG Years before we finally stopped in. Smh. Stop doing that, stop in. This is the best pizza place we’ve found. Sorry Marion’s. Hoagies got you beat by a long shot. I’m terrible. Sorry. Anyway, I have to have Gluten Free pizza. These guys got it down! The price is fare. The service is matter of fact. You feel at home. The news is on, the guys chat, watch the news and feed their belly’s. Hoagies has a calm environment. Feels like home. It’s all decked out for Halloween rn. I like it here:) and I have loonchee for manana!
