My Son and I had lunch here today and we were pleasantly greeted and sat. They were very efficient. They are for sure not overly pleasant , but super efficient. My only complaint was the vegetable egg roll was slightly cold inside as were the crab Rangoon. I saw other reviews that mentioned that and really thought it must be a one off thing, but no!!! I honestly would not order that again for that reason. They were fine otherwise, the taste was good. I didn’t feel they were unsafe to eat, just a little ick factor.

I moved to the area about 4 years ago and finally decided to try this place out. It was just okay. The service was good. The waiter was attentive, the staff greeted us when we came in. The restaurant itself was very pretty- except for the fruit flies at our table. The food lacked a lot to be desired. Presentation was nice, but the food was bland. There was not one bit of spice in the Singapore Noodles, My Hot and Sour Soup lacked taste. We asked for chili oil and not even that was spicy. Our Pina colada tasted like it was virgin, no alcohol could be detected. The best thing was the Crab Rangoon. Fried rice was average.

Chicken Chow Mein (lunch portion to go) with egg roll. Ask for the egg roll to be cooked extra crispy or well done to be sure it’s heated all the way through (ordered once before and it was just warn not hot enough inside) – great flavors still though.

Food was tasty and you’ll receive plenty for the price. That makes it a place worth a return. There was a few times where service was hard to find but they could have been a bit busy? Either way, not too bad of an experience but the overall rating is – mid.

Don’t get me wrong… The three stars was not because of the food. The food was very good. Very consistent. Nice size portions. I got a table pretty quick. The service has something to be desired, for. It was a very long wait to even get water on the table. We had to wait a very long time to order our food which is very unusual for this place. They had at least four people on the floor. It was maybe like five or 6 o’clock which shouldn’t have been too difficult. The restaurant was semi-full, so it wasn’t like it was packed. I understand that people are understaffed these days but that was a long wait. $$-$$$

Table of 4. Shrimp egg foo young, Young chow rice (formerly house rice,) general soa chicken! Service not what it use to be (but what is) certain things removed from menu along with price increases diminish this place but make no mistake this is still one of the last great options for Chinese/Cantonese food.

Lovely place on the lower level of the building. Decor is beautiful. Atmosphere is relaxed. Service was friendly and fast. Food is full of flavor. Ho Wah Special Mei Fun is what i chose for my dinner. Chicken was moist and the noodles were cooked to perfection. There is a variety of dishes to choose from but would recommend house specialties. For a starter the vegatable egg roll was my choice Egg drop soup was hot and delicious that came with my entree. They have a full bar and a very good wine list.

Thoroughly enjoyed Ho Wah and will definitely be back. The food was fantastic, made with fresh ingredients. The service was exceptional as well. Our server said the kitchen staff is able to make your food as spicy as you can handle but the extra spicy Kung Pao chicken really wasn’t spicy. I was hoping for a lot more heat. Other than that, we had a great time and would highly recommend Ho Wah.
