Ho Mei Chinese Restaurant Wheat Ridge, CO 80212

The food tastes good and the servings are huge. Buuuut the meat items (chicken or beef) are more chewy than what I’d expect from a Chinese food restaurant.

I came by for dinner. I like to order the combination plate for $6.95 I order five Togo. When we get home the family can pick and choose from the different Selections.

For $7.14, you can get a bunch of food and a can of soda. You cannot beat that anywhere. Yeah, it’s not your top tier Chinese food restaurant but for the price you pay, you get a lot of food in which is pretty good. The food could use some authentic spices but you can change that with their hot sauce. Also, they could do with a new fridge where their sodas are as it’s barely maintaining cold with room temperature. Nonetheless, if you’re looking to eat cheap but get value for your money, this is the spot. Just don’t double carb like I did. I’d eat here again though.

I drive 30 mins to get to this lovely place! Growing up in Denver I can confidently say that I know good dollar scoop and this is by far one of the best I’ve found all over the metro area! Not only is the customer service amazing the food is really delicious! #supportsmallbusinesses

This might be the cheapest meal in Denver. Two entrees and fried rice or noodles with a canned soda for like $6.50. And they do not skimp on the scoops. Jalapeño chicken was great. Orange Chicken is classic. It’s a little run down but has a lot of character.

Even panda Express could learn one thing or two. The rice is good flavored. Chicken actually taste like barbecue.

I paid $7 for two entrees, rice, an egg roll, AND a soda. You honestly can’t get a better deal than this. Plus the food was super fresh and tasty. I’m not from the area but I might have to visit often just for this place.
