I went to HK BBQ Master and I had a fun time trying their Cantonese barbecue. The BBQ pork was juicy and sweet, the roast pork had crunchy skin that made me smile, and the soy sauce chicken was soft and tasty. I liked how fast they served the food even though lots of people were there. The place is small but feels busy and happy with people eating good food. I also liked the rice that came with my meat because it soaked up all the yummy sauces. Next time I want to try the BBQ duck because I heard it’s really good too. I felt full and happy after eating here and I think lots of people would like this place if they like Chinese BBQ!

My friend and I got:

BBQ Pork + Roasted Pork $16.95
BBQ Pork + Soy Chicken + Roasted Pork $19.50
Ice Lemon Tea + Ice Milk Tea $3.50 each

The cuts of pork are pretty good imo, with a good meat to fat ratio for both our plates. I liked the soy sauce chicken too. Everything was well seasoned / flavoured, and the meat was tender and juicy. I also got some for takeout at $14.80 per pound for Honey BBQ Pork and $16.95 per pound for Crispy Roasted Pork.

CASH ONLY. Popular well known Chinese BBQ meats shop. It is kinda hidden away under Superstore and the entrance is in the parking lot. This place has a great vibe with memories of Asian food shops. There usually is a line-up for the food (there is a fairly quick turnover of tables). Prices are reasonable. The BBQ pork is really delicious and tender. One great feature of this location is plentiful free parking on the property including outside; and there is busy prime covered spots for rainy or snowy days. For a small shop the washroom is clean and very nicely decorated. This is a very efficiently run and busy eatery.

HK BBQ Master to be the gold standard for Cantonese BBQ in North America. They were particularly blown away by the Roast Pork (Siu Yuk), noting the impossibly crispy, crackling skin and the succulent layers of meat. The BBQ Pork (Char Siu) was equally impressive, featuring a perfect honey glaze and tender texture. For this visitor, the unassuming location under the Superstore only adds to the charm of finding such world-class culinary expertise in a no-frills setting.

Came by here for a quick meal after landing at YVR and heading to Whistler – it was 3 pm and there was a long line outside, unbelievable. Thankfully it moved pretty quickly and were seated after a 20 min wait. Service was prompt and efficient the menu made it easy with numbering. Food arrived soon and it was great quality authentic Cantonese roast dishes. We had roast duck, pork, BBQ and soy chicken, vegetables and soup – all delicious and comparable to what one would find in Asia. Located in a complex with a supermarket upstairs and another across the road. Will return.

Delicious and tender bbq meat. The roasted pork was crispy and yummy! It matches the standard of roasted meats in HK or even better!
I came here at 11:20 on a weekday. Half of the restaurant was still empty. By the time, I finished at around 12 noon. It was full and a line was starting to form.
Service was very prompt and my food came out in a minute. Cash only.

Ordered the soy chicken, char siu pork, and roasted pork combo over rice. The roasted pork was phenomenal. The soy chicken was tender and flavorful, but watch out for bone fragments. The char siu was good, but I got a pretty lean piece so a little dry. Though the line is long, their system is set up pretty efficiently, with a line for dine-in, take out, and pre-order pickup. When the line gets long, and attendant comes out to take your order in advance, so it’s more or less ready by the time you get to the front to pay. Overall, I really like this place.

Delicious BBQ! The portion is well served and price is good, super worth it. I wanted to come to this place long time ago and finally made it. It didn’t dissapoint, I had high expectations since I heard good things about this place, plus Seth Rogen did a video talking about this Vancouver food gem some time ago, so it’s really popular. There is even complementary tea. Staff super fast and friendly. I went on a holiday around 1pm last month (thanksgiving day) and it was not that crowded, I guess I was lucky because I have heard this place is always busy, there was a few line up which ended quickly, I had to wait less than 10 minutes.

My family and I always get our HK bbq from this spot. Some of us would even argue that it’s better than some of the spots we’ve tried in HK/Macau. We usually order the bbq duck, bbq pork and the roasted pork. Seriously good stuff!

We had heard good things about this place for long time but we had never been able to make it the last call time. Finally, we were so excited that we got to try this!

We arrived a bit earlier than dinner hours around 5 pm ish. I saw a long time and rushed to join, but actually silly me, that line was for take out! We were lucky we could have a table for two right away without any wait.

BBQ meats did not disappoint, as delicious as we heard and expected. We had roasted pork and chicken. Surprisingly, their daily soup was very flavourful as well. I guessed they had lots of bones to use up. It was on the slightly oily side but I did not mind about it too much.

BBQ meats on rice was the way to go for the first time, better if you have someone with share different meats with. Perhaps ordering meat on rice is not the best deal, compared with ordering meats alone, and that might explain why the takeout line is so long.

Their HK coffee and milk tea mix was tasty as well.

We have already come back for a few times before I finally get the chance to write this review!
