This place is wonderful, service, the food and the sauce. I’ve been to this place several times, back to back. Today, I got an order of onions rings with my shrimp meal. Wow, they very wonderful as well. I’ve not tasted one thing from there that I didn’t like. The shrimp was battered and cooked to perfection. Fries crispy and seasoned well. I’ll recommend this place to anyone. That’s how good it is. Thank you for this wonderful experience

My first time trying the place after a Google search for a homemade burger. The burger was put together the way I like with tomatoes and leaf lettuce instead of shredded but the patties tasted like its made with lean meat and was overcooked and that made it dry. The fries could’ve been cooked just a little bit longer also. But this won’t discourage me from going back. The lady at the window was nice and the outside eating area was nice and clean. I’ll give the catfish a try next time.

The service was good — they were a bit busy, so we did have about a 10-minute wait, but that’s honestly expected when the food hitting like that. And the burger? Worth every single minute.
I’ve been looking for a burger like this since I was a kid. It reminded me of this spot in Oak Cliff where I used to get burgers when I was about 6 or 7. I haven’t found one that tastes like that since I moved… until now. It was nostalgic in the best way.
I also tried a piece of fish just for the hell of it. I don’t even like cornmeal fish like that, but this was easily top 3 fish I’ve ever had. Crispy, seasoned right, not greasy. I was shocked in a good way.
I’m pregnant, so my taste buds have been VERY specific and picky lately. When I say this place checked every single box? It CHECKED THEM. Cravings satisfied immediately.
And to top it all off… it’s AFFORDABLE.
Definitely coming back.

Glad H&J Reopened they were truly missed from back in the day. The Ladies and, Gentlemen provide great customer service. I’ve enjoyed bringing others with me (It’s their first time trying it) So far no complaints….Uhh take that back. The only complaint was the Porkchops run out fast . I’ve tried to get them for others after they’ve restocked. They must be good. Hopefully I’ll be able to take someone to try them and, leave a review.

Service——> Family is great, easy to talk to, no loudness or being rude no matter how many questions you have. They will treat you with respect. Service with a smile.
Menu—–> Menu is awesome, so many choices, and everything they make is cooked to order which is a must for me. Always fresh and its not over seasoned. I’ve had everything on the menu and ill definitely vouch for the food.
So all in all if u looking for a place to get some good food and fair prices then look no further. H&J will supply that fix. Hours are good also. So give it a try, and I bet you will co e and try more menu items. Oh ny favorite pork chops .. yes sir but again e eryrhjng is FRESH and good

This is definitely one place I highly recommend you try! It’s Black-owned, the customer service is top-tier, and they give you great portions of the food of your choice. They go above and beyond to make sure your food is made exactly how you want it. And on top of all that, it’s Black-owned — which makes supporting them even better!
