My review is strictly on the wing dinner that I ordered today. I hate to do this but it did not meet my expectations at all. The chicken had a lot of feathers still in it. Even a big white piece…
The chicken had a good fried batter but there was no flavor. The mac and cheese has no flavor ughhh and it’s lacking cheese SMH.
I’m not from the area so I ordered here strictly on some other reviews I saw. I just hate spending my money on food that does not meet my expectations. I will say that atmosphere looked very cute and quaint.

Just had lunch with a few friends on Saturday afternoon. The manager, Milano was so attentive to a member of our party that was experiencing a medical emergency. They quickly brought food out proceeding our order.

The food was delicious. I ordered the fried fish with greens, mac & cheese and cornbread…babbbby! It was good.

The rum punch was tasty as well. Just the right amount of rum and punch!

Will be back soon!

This is a wonderful little local spot, with delicious food and wonderful service.

Came for the fried whole fish and fried chicken and we were not disappointed.
The fried fish was perfectly battered, fresh and very tasty. Fried wings were juicy and delicious.
Kiddo also ordered the burger , and it came in great size, she couldn’t finish most of it.

Appreciate the bartender who was also our waitress suggested the perfect cocktail to pair with our meal.

Street parking only.

Our overall experience was very satisfactory and highly recommended by @WineDinenVacay

Every single thing was amazing! The food, the rum punch, the service. First time visiting and I was impressed.

Milano was our server and they were incredible. I was having blood sugar level issues when I arrived and was taken care of with urgency and care.

I’m so very impressed with this neighborhood restaurant!

I had a hair embedded in my cornbread. The pork chops were dry overcooked and bland, the cabbage was bland and dry, the mac and cheese was bland and dry. I had to rebook the mac and cheese by adding cheese and butter and spices. I had to rebook the cabbage by adding seasoning and butter. I tried to file a complaint on Uber Eats which is how I ordered it but only got back $5 which was a complete slap in the face considering ny order was $124. I need a real refund. The only good items were the fried chicken and curry shrimp. How can I get a refund???

Hitching Post is a great chill spot to have good food and catch a vibe. The restaurant is pretty inexpensive and it does offer a happy hour selection. The outdoor patio is beautiful during summer evenings. The restaurant also offers special dishes from Guyana.

A very special place for a nice Sunday brunch. They have $8 cocktails from 12pm-4pm on Sundays and for happy hours. The food was a little wait but worth every minute. The staff was fun and attentive. I was also very pleased by the portion sizes.

Some of the favorites at the table was the catfish–both of the fried and blackened variations. The potato salad and collard greens were popular sides and you dont want to skip the cornbread!

Great neighborhood restaurant on a quiet street. Large outdoor area where you can sip, eat, and enjoy your friends. Staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy like your living room. The fried fish and chicken is about the best in the city. Both crispy and hot.Not greasy. The cabbage was pretty good too. Good soul food!

This place is a gem. This is our favorite spot for our monthly girls’ hangout! The food is always delicious—crispy spinach, neck bones & lima beans, and my personal favorite, the catfish. Alexia is amazing! She’s always so helpful and handles our group of 10+ with ease and a smile. Milano is hands down my favorite bartender—if you need a drink, he’ll make it just right every time. We’ve been coming here for over a year and look forward to it every month. Stop by, say hello to Milano, and grab a rum punch—you won’t be disappointed! P.S. Did I mention the delicious crispy spinach???
