We were camping at a local state park and came into town for some things. Decided to get a quick lunch and we are so lucky to have found this little gem. The servers were all super nice and helpful. The food was all perfection.

Food is excellent. Service with a smile and we learned it’s the oldest cafe in Nevada. Love my state!

“Not bad for a little town in the middle of nowhere!” A quote from our sweet server herself! My partner and I came all the way from a backpacking trip and after what felt like the longest day ever we needed a good meal. This is the best place to go. It was very homey and welcoming. Not to mention the food is filling and absolutely delicious! We both had burgers with fries, sides of ranch, ice cream and cake for dessert. Would love to come again someday in the future. Historic silver café is a restaurant everyone should experience and enjoy. Thank you! (Second photo is the chocolate cake and ice cream we had- so good I forgot to take a picture!)

Wowza… What an amazing place in an amazing historic town. We didn’t plan on being here but we found it on our way. So glad we stopped in this town and had food in this cafe.

This is also the oldest standing cafe in Nevada.

We had the prime rib special and it was amazing. I had the 8oz and my husband had the 16oz. The roasted carrots and asparagus were super good as well as their twice baked potato. The 16oz came with a desert big enough to share it was a sizzling blonde brownie with ice cream, soo good.

The best thing I can say about this place is that the service was very friendly and the pancakes were good. It took a couple of tries to order as they were out of a few key ingredients. But my simple skillet didn’t contain half of the description on the menu and there was no warning they were out of the veggies or explanation or apology upon delivery. They did say they were out of multiple things as it was a Sunday in their deliveries didn’t happen until Tuesday, but not the ingredients of what I ordered (our third try ordering).

The coffee tasted like warm water and only had flavor if you put creamer and sugar in it. I am pretty sure we got the “tourist menu” as the prices were very high and there was no way a local would pay that kind of money for basic breakfast food ($25 for steak and eggs, $15 for a breakfast burrito, $7 for one pancake and $10 for two).

Clearly, a local favorite spot since the entire bar counter was filled with locals happy to see each other! But all they drank was coffee. Didn’t see any of them eating food.

Come on a Thursday when they have all the ingredients!

Outstanding food and great service to boot! Who would have thought you could get such a delicious breakfast in a town out in the outskirts of Nevada and with a population of about 750 people. My wife and I came here with about 8 other friends and they were willing and able to accommodate all of us and with a smile too. My wife had the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and I got the chicken fried steak. The friends we were sitting with got a pancake sandwich and a MASSIVE breakfast burrito and all of it is definitely something I would recommend. If for whatever reason you find yourself out in this neck of the woods, I would definitely recommend the Silver Cafe to fill up on some good food.

We are here as a family for both dinner and breakfast and both meals were delicious.

I had the Carne Asada Quesadilla, and the boys enjoyed burgers and chicken wings. Their potato chips are homemade and were fantastic. For breakfast we ordered biscuits and gravy, the omelet and pancakes and bacon.

Both times we had excellent service and for a small town cafe their food was so good.

Thank you! Would highly recommend anyone stop here to eat while staying or passing through Pioche.

To be honest, we drove from Cathedral Gorge State Park all the way to this town to go to gunslingers, for an amazing sandwich and milkshake. Even double checked yesterday to make sure that they would be open today, but they were not.
So we decided to give the historic Silver café a try. Our waitress was so so nice, she constantly stayed busy keeping everything clean. We had the pastrami sandwich, and it was delicious! Lots of meat inside! The fries were really good. We also had the jalapeño poppers . I liked that it had cheddar and cream cheese, but my husband preferred cream cheese only. The service was fast, the food came out really fast, prices were very reasonable. Thank you so much.
