First time at this location! Been to the Santa Clara one before.
Two of us ordered:
tonkotsu ramen $17.90
shoyu ramen $16.90
karaage $12
Food comes quick and is pretty consistent quality wise.
Full house. Quick service. Auto 16% service charge.
Ely was friendly. Only minimal staff working.
Parking in plaza is difficult during peak hours.

The food is just okay. This was surprising because I had high expectations based on the reviews and the background story of Hiro and Nori. I had the Tonkatsu and chasu bowl combo. The toppings were a bit lacking in substance, the noodle was a bit too hard, the donburi and salad were given in cheap paperware. The price is also kind of okay, not too expensive but not cheap either given the quality. The server was very kind though, thank you. I’d suggest trying it out if you’re curious, but don’t expect anything great.

Really good ramen. Been here twice with my wife and friends. We really like the vegetarian ramen… great flavorful soup broth. Can be enough for two, but I would recommend to get your own. The crispy rice with tuna is delicious – a bit of hot sauce can embellish the flavor if you dare! We tried the ramen with chicken broth but replace with tofu. It was good, but I still think the vegetarian ramen is better, IMHO. Edamame was ok, it had lemon or lime squirted in it – wasn’t my cup of tea, but my wife loves lemon, so a win for her. There is a 16% surcharge FYI. I would come back to try the crispy garlic chicken.

This is my first time having HiroNori ramen, and I like this place and food. The servers are really nice and friendly, especially Ely is super nice to us. Love the Crispy chicken, it was really crispy and tasty! Would come back again!

This is THE Ramen spot in the bay area. The quality of the ingredients and the superb broth are worth at least one visit. Both meat and vegan options are equally amazing. Defined go for the black garlic add on – stunning. The atmosphere can become a little loud as plenty of folks want to grab a delicious bowl. Tip is already included in the bill and tab water is usually enriched by watermelon – yummy.

Food quality has declined from around 2-3 years ago. Tonkotsu broth is so salty and lacking any depth of flavor. It’s also no longer creamy rich color, just a bit liquidy. Tried to give it more chances since maybe it was an off day. But both this and the santa clara location have both gotten worse. Sad to say I will no longer be coming back. Used to be my go to for ramen, will have to look elsewhere…

I’ve tried hironori main branch a few times in the past couple of years. I had the same expectations for this location but was met with mediocre food. The tonkotsu ramen was not presented nicely. Seaweed already withered down, green onion cut too thickly, soup is just okay. It used to be better.
The food has all the components. It just lacks care and soul. There’s no life in it. Just soup, noodles and toppings assembled together like someone was following instructions without knowing what ramen really tastes like.
I also had the rice combo. It came with two strands of hair. I didn’t notice until a few bites in. Also lacks life in the food. Felt like just someone slapped some rice, meat and sweet sauce on top.
Service was fine. 16.xx% auto gratuity added on your bill. (On the menu it said 15% but the server said a different number)
This location needs a breath of new life. It’s as if the owner set this up and left it running on its own without checking up on it.

Delicious ramen!!! Yummy grilled/charred char siu. Probably the best char siu served in any ramens we’ve eaten. The broth for the tonkotsu and shoyu were so flavorful…..Ely is an amazing server, efficient, checked in on us during our meal; very nice guy. The place was clean and tidy. Thank you Ely and to the chef who made our food!!!

I had such a great experience at HiroNori! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was seriously one of the best bowls I’ve had in a long time. The broth was super rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect chew, and the chashu pork was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. Everything in the bowl worked so well together — it was comforting, filling, and just really well done.
I also got the edamame as a starter and it was simple but perfect — warm, fresh, and just the right amount of salt. It’s a small thing, but it set the tone for how much care they put into everything.
On top of the amazing food, our server Sofi was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and just had great vibes overall. She made sure we had everything we needed without hovering, and honestly made the whole experience even better.
Can’t wait to come back! Definitely recommend if you’re craving legit ramen and great service.
