Hiram’s is a food stand that is a legend in Bergen County. Not many establishments last nearly 100 years, but Hiram’s achieves that distinction, clocking in at over 90, having been in the business since 1932. Once you enter, it’s easy to see why. From the second you walk in, you are greeted like a friend, even if you’ve never been there before. The decor is in two motifs. The lesser of the two is the obligatory ” This is a hot dog place”, and consists of the standard signs and slogans as well as high mark reviews by local media and national celebrities. The more preeminent motif is one that loudly and proudly proclaims ” We are patriotic here! We love this country!”.

I am so lucky to live near this restaurant. It is a historical restaurant and voted best bergen county hot dog place. Hot dog price is raised a little high, but taste never changes. My recommendation is chili dog and onion ring. Also, try their Miller lite draft beer with a hot dog. I would love to go there again this coming saturday. The best part of this place is that there is no tip and tax on the food but I suggest you show some gratitude.

It is one of the best dogs and most amazing cheese fries places, ever! Prices are reasonable, the dogs are fried, so have a nice crunch.. all toppings available, with self serve kraut and relish.. cheese, chili, onions, etc. are done by the hot dog chef. The burgers are good too, but im a two dog guy, not a 1 and 1 guy.. just sayin, worth the trip if you like a good dog.. I dont think they are koshar, but I really don’t care! Lol

I’ve been going to Hiram’s since I was a kid. This place is insanely good at its bread and butter – Americana roadside classics. This is the only place that I like ketchup and mustard on a burger, no idea why it just works for me here. Onion rings, legendary hot dogs, and some of my favorite burgers ever. Is this an Au Cheval burger? No, but this is a classic that will remain for a reason. I love Hiram’s and it isn’t nostalgia talking.
