Highly recommend this incredible restaurant. The pho was amazing.
The broth was perfectly umami and balanced. The herbs and bean sprouts were fresh. The meat was incredibly tender and flavourful. Overall it was a perfect comforting meal. I recommend trying the rare beef pho.
The staff were also very kind and helpful in choosing the perfect dish. The man who served me, who I think was the owner, was so kind and patient which made me like the restaurant even more.
My only critique was the noodles were slightly overdone but it didn’t retract from the overall dish.
I would definitely recommend this place and rerun.

Hippo Noodle House is definitely Wentworth Point’s hidden gem! What started out as a small backyard restaurant has now grown into a proper eatery — and it’s easy to see why. The food is absolutely delicious, authentic and served in huge portions, perfect for sharing.
Their weekly specials are such a bonus — $15 Pho Tuesdays and Crispy Chicken Wednesdays are unbeatable value. The pho is rich and comforting, and the crispy chicken is crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside.
Drinks are just as impressive. The coconut coffee is a must-try, their smoothies are super refreshing, and I’m obsessed with the pandan tea. The rice paper roll platter is generous and fresh, and the Bun Cha is a standout. Don’t leave without checking out their dessert range too — not only beautiful, but so tasty.

Went for a late lunch, my first time ever, really impressed me! The dishes were amazing — the chargrilled pork was especially delicious. I also had the fried squid, which was tasty, though not quite as crispy as I expected but it’s freshhhhh.

Hello, I ordered food from your restaurant via Uber Eats yesterday. I usually dine in at your restaurant and the quality has always been much better, but I was very disappointed with my recent order.
I ordered Bun Cha Hanoi, but the pork was burnt, hard and charred to the point it was almost inedible. Some parts of the vermicelli noodles were hard, as if they were undercooked. This is far below the quality I have experienced when dining in, and I’m very disappointed.
I kindly suggest improving the quality control and checking each order before sending it out. I completely understand that dinner time can be busy, but I paid for a meal that I could hardly eat. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will order again unless the quality improves.

Overall 4 rating, food came within less than 5 minutes. The chicken crispy was to the standard I enjoyed it. The downfall is that they have limited dietary restrictions only 3 dishes which are gluten free . Ambiance is good, solo dates you will enjoy your peace. Very easy good. Thank you.

Really good Vietnamese cuisine with a huge variety of dishes from the north and the south. The pho was really tasty with great depth in the soup and the beef was rare and sliced so thinly. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious and was really authentic with a good variety of the meats. Service is really good and and dishes came out fairly quickly. Highly recommend

We frequent Wentworth Point but didn’t know this place until today. Food was fabulous! I can say this is one of the best pho we have ever had. The broth is so rich. The batter of banh xeo is a bit thicker to my liking but it’s crispy enough with generous fillings making it very enjoyable. The make your own rolls were so yum. The sugar cane prawn and spring rolls that come with it were so perfectly made. The only down side was the QR code ordering system is a bit broken. We ordered and paid and waited for 20 min to know that the order wasn’t received by the kitchen. The staff was very apologetic and made sure our orders were done quickly. Overall we love the food and will be back.

Unfortunately, my friend and I found the food we ordered lacking in flavour and rather ordinary. Portion sizes were generous, pity the food was bland and uncreative – we didn’t finish any dish. Service was slow, which was another frustration! Finding a parking spot took a while, necessitating a few goes around the block! We’ll stick to more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Flemington/Homebush West.
