After coming here many times, I was compelled to write a review. My interaction with JB or JD- whatever it is; well I’m delighted to say, it was very personable, and informative.

The food, as always.. it’s amazing, no doubt about that, but today; simply amazing! The meat Jun was absolutely flavorful and cooked to perfection, my all time favorite; plus the side dishes, never lack flavor!

All-together, I would always recommend this place to anyone looking for some hearty Korean food; this place is well worth it. Also, whoever is complaining about prices, get over yourself- it’s 2026, nothing is going down, everything goes up; if anything, this place has gone up, in flavor baby!

Highly recommend, great local spot, worth the wait, worth the drive, worth your dime!

My first time to visit this Hippo Grill.. I ordered regular meat Jun dish and it includes 4 different side dishes. Their serving is BIG. So.. Check it out and you will not regret it.

Aloha, Was looking all over for a good KBBQ hea in vegas after moving here from da islands. Tried alot of places but Hippo won da best spot for me and da ohana. If you looking for a good spot Hippo Grill Korean BBQ is a must-try.
Da food is absolutely on point — fresh meats, great seasoning, and everything comes out hot and flavorful. Da quality really stands out, especially compared to other KBBQ spots around. Da portions are generous, and nothing feels rushed.
Service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The grill setup is clean, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it’s a great spot whether you’re coming with friends or family.
Overall, this place delivers on taste, quality, and experience. Definitely coming back — easily one of my go-to Korean BBQ spots in Vegas.
Aloha!

SO MUCH FOOD. None of us in the family could finish our own order, not including our apps/sides and the portions for 1 order were enough for 3 meals and it’s safe to say we were full for dinner! Next time we’ll definitely go for the small portion. Businesses like this are what make America so great. 10/10 would recommend to a friend again.

Best Korean takeout in town – hands down!
I’ve been a regular at Hippo Grill for years now, and every single order is a flavor explosion. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the food travels like a champ – still piping hot and fresh by the time I get home. The staff is always friendly over the phone, and pickup is a breeze. If you’re craving authentic Korean flavors without the sit-down hassle, this is your spot. 5 stars isn’t enough!

A friend shared with me that this is his go to for good quality and generous portion Korean BBQ food to go. I was not disappointed! The prices were fair to good! The choices for the sides were excellent, as I enjoy the sides as much as the main dish. I ordered the meat Jin and Korean fried chicken and am looking forward to eating that it with my wife! It’s located across town in the far south and I’m in the far north, so I was glad that I had plans that had me on this side of town. Definitely worth checking this place out and deciding for yourself. I can see myself eating here in the future!

The food was OK. Meat Jun and spicy pork belly were really good. The raw garlic in the garlic shrimp was really harsh, and IMHO ruined the perfectly cooked shrimp. The mandu was deliciously crispy and tender at the same time. Service could use some help. The lady behind the counter seemed overwhelmed and borderline rude. Granted, it looked like she was there handling the front counter by herself during the lunch rush. I guess I would be grouchy too, but it is a business, and customer service is expected. Large portions. Will try again and hopefully, the lady has some help and a better day.

Staff was hostile for no reason. I called to place an order for pickup, and the staff member said, “UHHH, we don’t do phone orders. We never have,” in a RUDE tone. As a first-time customer, I couldn’t have possibly known that.

I then asked, “Okay, do I just come in to order?” and he said, “Ummmmmm yeah, I mean I guess? Or you can use one of those delivery websites?”

The end of that response got cut off and was choppy, so I asked if he could repeat it, and he loudly said, “ONE OF THOSE DELIVERY WEBSITES? LIKE DOORDASH, POSTMATES?”

Safe to say, this interaction turned me away, and I went to Jin’s Korean BBQ instead, even though it was further out of the way. At least the staff who answered the phone there was kind.

The staff member at Hippo could’ve kindly said something like, “Oh, I’m sorry, we don’t accept phone orders, but you can place a pickup order through one of those delivery websites, like Postmates or DoorDash.”

It’s unfortunate that I never even got to try your food because the customer service was so off-putting. If this wasn’t the owner who answered the phone, your staff is losing you business with their attitude. It costs nothing to be kind, and a little politeness goes a long way—especially for first-time customers.

Greeted right away. The service was great. Portions are huge and have lots of choices for sides. Everything cooked to go so food is fresh. Make sure to be hungry cause the plate won’t disappoint!

its a little hole in the wall korean spot..no chairs just strictly takeout. you choose your meats (bbq chicken, meatjun, etc) then you pick sides or banchans(4 for a regular plate/2 for minis). if your from hawaii and your kids have a soccer tournament at JAMES REGiONAL PARK this is the spot.
