I had the Hippo Avocado burger. The guacamole is freshly mashed and the grilled onions were a great complement.
My cousin had the mushroom burger and said it was great. Her sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had!!! Crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside and seasoned perfectly!

This was my very first time going here and Food was pretty good. You can tell those are Fresh burgers and I loved the Cajun fries. Super salty but good! Environment was clean and all but the front counter kid needs a personality. He had his headphones in and didn’t even hear me the first time. SMH. That alone made me not like the place like I would have had it been a more pleasant experience to start.

I took my food to go, so I can’t say much about atmosphere, but the burger and fries were good. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and garlic fries and received a burger with grilled onions, avocado, and tomatoes. The burger was luckily still delicious, the fries were seasoned instead of garlic, they were over seasoned, not great. Overall I’m disappointed that I spent $15 and didn’t realize that I received the wrong food until it was too late to go back, but the burger was still 10/10!

We were there around 30 minutes to closing and they was so kind. They did excellent on our order. My husband had an avocado burger. I had mushroom and cheese with onions of my burger and it was absolutely excellent. I also added avocado and it was tremendous. The service was very kind. I knew they were about to close but they still had a great attitude and as they began to close the dining room they made sure that everything was good with us and what we were eating and about our refills before we left so they had excellent customer service. We felt very welcome there even though it was late they made sure we had a good time.

Hands down the best burger I’ve had in a long while. The place is small, saw it a few weeks ago and had a chance to try it today, man it was worth it! I had the Eggvolution Burger and my boyfriend had the Hippo Special Burger. The burgers are huge, the patties were juicy and flavorful. The burgers are served upside down, the told us to prevent the bottom bun from getting soggy and it works. It was a little messy to eat, but there are napkin dispensers on each table along with regular and spicy ketchup, hot sauce and steak sauce. The cajun fries were great. Everything was delicious and the service was so fast, we had only been sitting 2 or 3 min before the food came. Would definitely come again, try it, you wont regret it!

I tried Hippo Burger for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I had heard so much positive feedback about it so I decided to try and I am glad I did. I was delighted by the freshness and taste of the burger (I had the Mushroom burger). I would like to state that the burger I had was huge (for me anyway), it makes 2 – 3 meals for me and it was just a regular burger. I ended up sharing it with someone which is perfectly fine. I ordered the Cajun fries and onion rings and both were really good – particularly the fries. The bun was the surprising part of all of this – I find that most places have buns that cannot hold up to large burger and tend to break apart or become too soggy – typically the bottom is super thin as well. Their buns are substantial, the right size for the burger and super tasty. I am also delighted with the pricing – you definitely get your money’s worth here. There are other good burger places in Conroe but this one is the best value for your money. I will definitely continue to eat from Hippo Burger!

We finally got to try the famous Hippo Burgers, and it did not disappoint! After moving to Conroe from Houston, we were on the hunt for a new go-to burger spot—and we’ve found it! The burgers were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor, and downright finger-licking good. The service was just as impressive, with a friendly and welcoming staff that made the experience even better. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

First off prices shown on drive thru board did not match at check out. Cheeseburger showed 8.99 actual price at check out was 9.09. Our order consisted of a cheeseburger combo 14.99 with sweet potato fries in place of regular fries and was charged 1.25 extra for those. And a cheeseburger( just the sandwich) 9.09 , with 2.09 tax, bringing the total to 27.42. Outrageous price for subpar tasteless burgers and burnt soft floppy sweet potatoe fries (like they had been cooked and then reheated). Best thing about this burger is the bun. However, the bun in no way justified the price on this meal.

I had a really great experience with the customer service at Hippo Burgers. The guy working the drive-thru was exceptionally friendly, professional, and had great recommendations. The overall customer care was awesome. That said, the food quality really let me down—the nachos were the most stale chips I’ve ever had, and I actually have jaw pain from them. The burger was also way overpowered by mustard—hardly any meat flavor. I really hope they improve their food, because I love this brand and want to keep coming back.

The food is delicious, we love how their burgers are served upside down, ask them why. I always order the mozzarella sticks,so good. The staff and service was excellent. My son had their shake and loved it. My favorite part was their tea. They have 4 flavors, my favorite was melon, it tasted exactly like a cantaloupe. It’s a little pricey but worth it.
