I recently visited hip hop; I spoke to a small black lady with dreads. I explained that I had an online order that I placed over the phone. She was very rude with her unpresentable attitude. I am assuming that my order was misplaced then was told to wait as she rolled her eyes and went to the back counter. I saw her for a moment and then she disappeared for a long while into the back cooking area. I never saw her again and someone else handled my order. I would avoid her at all cost. If shes not already avoiding responsibilities.

The wings are okay. They scratched my itch for wings, but I can’t say that my husband & I were impressed. The fish, shrimp, & fries are pretty good though. Would we be back? Maybe, but not super likely.

We split 25 hot wings, fried okra, and fries. Might be my new favorite hot wings in town – very good flavor! The fried okra was really good too. They breaded it well and the breading wasn’t all falling off. The fries had some sort of ranch seasoning or something that was pretty good. It’s not cheap, but it’s good food!

Excellent little spot to enjoy, freshly made fish and chicken.
Absolutely the best I’ve tasted.
I would highly recommend you stop here for a short minute to enjoy the service, hospitality and hot delicious food.
Wings, shrimp, catfish nuggets and gizzards were all tried and won’t disappoint. The fries and coleslaw are also delicious.
Masks required to dine in, have carryout and drive thru available. We will return and so will our kids!

I am a big fan of fried fish. It seems like fried fish is hard to come by in Tallahassee. Hip Hop has resolved this problem for me. I had the fried perch. It was crunchy and tasty. I got an extra whiting filet. Really don’t love whiting but it was good too. They provide Ken’s tartar sauce which is a good brand so that’s a bonus. With a small up charge you can swap the fries for okra, fried green tomatoes, onion rings or other deep fried things. I had the fried okra. It was good. Nice and crunchy. The coleslaw was also tasty and sweet but not sweet in a bad way. I will be back when the fried fish craving returns.

Hip Hop Fish & Chicken!! If you like fried food, you MUST go here!!! They everything from fried fish to fried chicken livers!!! They were sooooo good!!! It’s very difficult to find chicken livers so I was super excited!!! The flavor profile was phenomenal!!! Plus, I had fried chicken gizzards, yummy in my tummy!! We went twice in one day!!

I always order delivery from them and the food comes fresh and it’s right down the street from my job so it’s still hot which is awesome. The food is delicious and you get a lot of food for a good price. I always get the four piece thigh and fries with the drink, I can make that last for 2 days and I just add my own extra sides. The coleslaw is always good .
