I have been here since they have first opened here and I usually stop by when I am craving for some authentic Chinese food or if I just so happen to be in the area. Sometimes there can be a wait, but that does not bother me since I am a very patient person. Their menu consists of many authentic Cantonese dishes, along with soup, noodle and other specialties. Everything is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity. And their portion size is more than enough where you might have to take to go. The staffs here are welcoming, well trained and understanding where they provide good service and I had never encountered an issue during any of my visits. I recommend this place to all Chinese food enthusiasts, if you are willing to try something new or to anyone that just so happen to be in the area just like me. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.

We came here for dinner, and ordered these dishes: H.K. style beef chow fun, Water spinach with fermented tofu in broth, Pork liver with ginger and onion, and Hainan style chicken.

Everything tasted great, and I highly recommend trying the Pork liver with ginger and onion! I don’t see this dish on other restaurants’ menus, and they did a really good job preparing it. They got rid of the bloody smell from the liver really well, and the seasoning was spot on. The texture was tender and slightly crunchy, and it paired perfectly with the ginger!

Came here at 5 pm. There are plenty of open tables. No wait. Just like the one in Chinatown. They are known for their rice porridge. They make one of the best rice porridge out there. Plenty of parking. They accept credit cards. They have that wok flavor that many other Chinese restaurants lack. Whether you have Hong Kong Style crispy noodles, Dry Beef Chow Fun, Salted fish fried rice, or rice porridge, all of them are excellent choices. XO rice noodles are my favorite. A hint of and spicy.

Delicious food, but the service was slow when I was here on a Saturday. We waited about 5 minutes for our appetizers, but an additional 30 minutes for our main dishes. Other tables received there food faster than ours, why did they give us our main dishes a very long wait than other tables? I love the food but the service is bad.

I am giving them a 1 star for the following reason:

* Coach Roache
* Bad customer service

I visited this place on a Friday night at around 7:45 pm with my wife, as we both had a long day and I didn’t want my wife to labor in the kitchen. Since Covid, they had loss a lot of business. You no longer have to wait in line to be seated. We were seated in the middle of the room. We ordered two dishes:
* Pan fried rice vermicelli with ground beef
* Porridge

After ordering, a young couple was seated by the wall. Behind them was where they kept the chinese fried donuts inside a glass cabinet. I was chatting with my wife and all of a sudden, I noticed the male gentleman that was just seated bounced right out of his seat and would not sit down. I looked to see what he was looking at. He was looking at a coach roache that was crawling against the wall where his table was. The gentleman had to flag down a waitress. Using a napkin the waitress smashed and removed it. He sat back down afterward, but with a weary feeling. Afterwards they had setup a large table for a group of people next to us. There were 7 of them. Only a couple sat down, as they were waiting for the rest of the 5 people to show. They ordered and later the rest of the group showed. By now, our porridge dish had arrived. It was really bland and we had to ask for some salt. While we were consuming the porridge, a lot of dishes were being served to the table of 7. We were still waiting for our final dish of Pan Fried Rice Vermicelli. Then, I saw the waitress bring the pan fried rice vermicelli with ground beef along with another dish in her hand. She placed both dished in the table of 7. I stopped her afterwards and with a gentle voice, I said, “I think that pan fried rice vermicelli is ours, as we got here 1st and had ordered before the table of 7. One of the guys sitting at the table of 7, insisted that it belongs to their table. I was not going to argue over the dish with him. So then, I hear the kitchen staff asking, “there were supposed to be two orders of the pan fried?” The waitress answered yes. We waited some more (another 20 minutes) and every other customer were getting their orders served. I finally have to tell the waitress to just give me the check, as I didn’t want to wait any longer.

So, I want to elaborate:

* If you were a waitress and your customer complaint that she served your dish to the wrong table, would be be apologetic?

* Would you go to the kitchen and ensure that the cooks immediately work on that dish 1st before working any other order that’s on their radar?

So here’s what happen, after we confronted the waitress about her placing our dish to the wrong table…………..Not one word of apology came from her. She didn’t try to come over to smooth things out and let us know that the kitchen is working on it now. She should be saying, “it shoudn’t be too long and it will be out for you shortly”. Instead, she just ignored us afterwards. There were no positive skillful customer interaction efforts made by the waitress. Nor did she went to the kitchen to tell them to make my dish a priority. Everyone’s order was coming out but ours. There was really no excuse for our order to be delayed that long, as I mentioned you no longer have to wait to be seated down. At the time of my visit, they were not busy. I don’t know if any of you had similar experience at this place. But, their customer service have gone down hill.

Love the XO rice rolls and congee! Have tried several other things that have also been great! They are busy but great at turning the tables around quick.

I do wish the place was cleaner. Everything feels sticky and run down. The floors, walls and condiment bottles could use a refresh.

Food pretty good
Unconventional for adding their own 15% mandatory tip charge.
1 bathroom, hard to open so it might seem like someone is already in there. Other people were waiting when one of the workers grabbed the door handle and said there might be someone in there, so ot delayed 3 people

Solid Chinese food joint known for their congee. Good flavor on their congee depending on the meat that goes in. They make it fresh when you order so you’re not just getting the same congee with cooked meat just thrown in. The Chinese donuts were great. Beef chow fun was standard fare. Overall was decently priced and good food. This place gets busy so come when they open or expect to wait.

Hing Lung is a very famous restaurant when they’re in San Francisco Chinatown. The Hing Lung in San Bruno is not exactly what they used to be. They have more dishes, and most of them are pretty good. They are very close to the airport. So I like to come here for dinner or lunch when I am in the area.

Little disappointed the pork liver used to be the signature dish for this restaurant when they were in China Town. It’s not tender as before. Congee base still good. Pork meat it’s same taste that I missed from congee. Stir fried dishes have good portion and serve it in the right temperature. Good spot for authentic Cantonese style food. It’s crowded with small seating area.
