So let me start by saying I asked them to apologize about the bad food and they would not ! Even tho they gave me a full refund i will
Not let this one slide . Do not go here. The rice was horrible ! The meat looked questionable was not fully grilled looked pale pinkish. Didn’t even bother to serve it to my kids. Called and the owners son picked up saying to bring it back and hangup on me. Later he called me to tell me I don’t have to bring it back that he would offer me a refund tomorrow.(cuz the program they use for online ordering was closed) I agreed but then I was so upset I decided to drive back and return the bag of food. There he continues to act like he can’t do a thing about anything other than offer me a refund tomorrow and then he starts to talk in his language to his dad and even giggles at one point ! Like it’s funny that I had to come back with the full
Meal and not sure what me and my kids
We’re gonna have for dinner . I spent 70 bucks and was my last until
Payday so I def need the money that moment. His dad told him to just give me cash. I said fine but no apology? He didn’t say nothing back. So yeah no avoid this place at all cost !!!

I really liked the chicken and shrimp teriyaki combo. The corn slaw and salad were a nice touch on the side, both a nice change of pace from the rest of the dish. Getting 8 shrimp felt pretty generous for the price. The star of the dish might’ve been the rice dipped in the teriyaki and oil sauce at the bottom. The service was friendly throughout. I also really liked the speed. Sorry it took me so long to try this place.

We ordered food to-go from this restaurant. We decided to try it out because it was nearby and rated 4.3 stars.

The food was ready on time, but it was terrible. The meat was dry/overcooked in all of the dishes we ordered (chicken teriyaki/salmon teriyaki/bento box). The rice was also mushy. The California roll in the bento box was wrapped in something that didn’t look like rice. It was compressed so much it looked like marzipan. We won’t be coming back.

Ordered teriyaki chicken and beef. The beef was absurdly dry, even the pieces soaked in sauce, which was very salty. The chicken also dry but manageable. For a regular, the portion are small. And, I wasn’t expecting much from the salad, but it was void of carrots.

8 years in Seattle and this is my least favorite teriyaki experience.

This used to be my go to neighborhood teriyaki spot but the quality has gone down dramatically and the prices have gone up drastically. Maybe they are under new ownership? The chicken is no longer cooked with a seer and lakes flavor and the gyoza are barely cooked at all. They still have free soup but it’s not the same. It’s a red soup now.

What used to be a “Lunch Special” for $12 not that long ago is now a “House Special” $17. I understand prices for everything have gone up but thats like 40%

This spot is an absolute VIBE. I got their gyoza, 10pcs for 7.99! They had a complimentary egg flower soup pot that was delicious. The absolutely wonderful Miso took my order, they’re a delightful person who’s smile and warm welcome was as great as the food. Speaking of: the gyoza was fried to perfection and the dipping sauce was perfection.
100% will visit again!

I really enjoy this teriyaki spot. It has an interesting mix of classic Seattle flavor and taste and a more modern twist. The seasoning is really balanced and this is what elevates the chicken. The short ribs and salmon are also cooked perfectly which give me a slight fusion of Japanese and other Asian flavor profiles.
The stir fry’s remind me of Chinese and I love the borderline flaky and crunchy texture on the tofu. Everything is great and the auntie at the front makes my family and I feel welcome as if I was in her home. The atmosphere is always clean and the orders come out quick. A good go to for families.

A Fantastic Bento Box Experience Under New Ownership at Himitsu Teriyaki!
My recent visit to Himitsu Teriyaki was a delightful one, and it’s clear the new owner and staff are doing an incredible job! The bento box I ordered was a true highlight, showcasing their commitment to quality and presentation.
The presentation was excellent, with each component neatly arranged in its own section of the box, displaying a vibrant array of colors and textures.
The star of the meal was the perfectly cooked salmon teriyaki. It was flaky, tender, and coated in a delicious, savory glaze that wasn’t too overpowering. The shrimp tempura was crispy and light, a wonderful contrast to the rich salmon. I also really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki; the meat was juicy and flavorful, complementing the fluffy white rice. The fresh salad with its light dressing and the side of corn added a nice touch of freshness and balance to the hearty proteins.
The menu board offered a huge variety of options, from teriyaki and fried rice to yakisoba and stir-fry, all of which looked amazing. This spot is a definite gem, offering great food, generous portions, and a wide selection. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try another one of their specialties, and I highly recommend supporting the new team!

My favorite Seattle teriyaki tofu. I used to get takeout a lot when I worked nearby and the tofu was always perfectly crispy outside and tender inside, only in the package for a short time. The sauce is the right amount of both sweet and salty. I order extra sauce sometimes, as I did in the most recent picture, in case I want it for leftovers or for another meal in the next couple days. I got delivery across town this time. You have to set expectations appropriately for delivery teriyaki tofu as it usually loses crispiness on the journey. I went back through old pictures and found one from 2021, and the surface texture does look more different than just a long car ride, honestly, but I was still really happy with my meal, it was delicious. So it’s possible they have a different preparation now than in the old picture. I would like to eat at the restaurant and see what peak crispiness is like, but I have either had a short lunch break or have not been nearby. When I have picked up, the place was always clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. They give a huge portion of tofu! I sometimes make more rice for the leftover tofu. They do not use egg on the tofu and didn’t before either (I checked again because I hadn’t been in a while). I don’t remember it being marked as vegan on the menu but I want to use that word in the review in case anyone is searching. You want this.
