Truly excellent teriyaki.
Had friends in town who can’t eat gluten, and they wanted whatever I considered Seattles signature dish so I had to find them teriyaki. Called Himitsu and they kindly explained my options (all the teriyaki is gluten free, the fried rice CAN be if you specifically order it gluten free). When I picked up the food they were kind and friendly with a big smile.
The food itself was fantastic. Fried rice was excellent, and the teriyaki is of the less saucy variety. While the chicken didn’t have a lot of sauce it was well marinated and seasoned so it was very juicy and flavorful. Our favorite was the beef. It was thin, tender, and no unpleasant gristle to be found.
Our friends loved it and we now have an option we’d happily recommend to anyone, whether they can have gluten or not!

I have celiac and Love that I can finally have teriyaki and fried rice! If your used to higher prices for gluten free food their prices are typical for gf. Worth it for not getting sick. I usually am working so I call ahead and get my food to go. Employees are always really nice, and the food tastes great! ❤️

I have found my new favorite place for teriyaki! The place is so clean and the interior is beautiful and vibrant! The people are so sweet and friendly. Oh and the food is A-mazing! The sweet and sour sauce we had with our crab rangoon was so incredible that if I had a spoon I would have slurped it all up! Not joking. I’ve had the garlic chicken (forgot to take a picture before I ate it all) multiple times and it never disappoints. Their sushi is top notch and makes my tummy so so happy. If you’re in Kent you NEED to come here for all your hunger needs!

The service was good and the food was AMAZING!!! BUT the prices were ridiculous!!!! $18 for chicken and beef Teriyaki!!! PLUS they charged me for the to go bag…$5.99 plus tax for fried rice to upgrade from white and $7.99 for 2 egg rolls!!! Pocket check!!! but I’m willing to go there for their weekday lunch specials! All in all I still highly recommend this place! The chicken and beef with rice was on point!!!!

This place was awesome! Was really exciting to have gluten free teriyaki and I’m glad we made this the final meal of our vacation. The interior is really cute and staff was friendly.

I was expecting better customer service from this restaurant and was disappointed when I tried to place an order and the owner/ worker hung up on me without even taking my order it felt very rushed. I then went to the restaurant and wanted to place my order in person and the same worker I was on the phone with say me and continued to talk with her coworker. I’m usually not one to blame prejudice or anything but coming to this establishment definitely made me feel as if I was not wanted there even if I was intending to spend my money on THEIR FOOD. I wil never come back to this restaurant again

Food was great i always get teriyaki chicken and beef at all teriyaki places and gotta say this was the best so far not dry or charred. The place looks really nice and clean it is pricey and also a big bummer for me was no fountain drinks only bottled sodas or canned drinks here 🙁 like $4 bucks each.

This spot is sooo cute and they have these seats that are kinda tucked away if you want a more private table. I got Udon for the first time and it was delicious! My boyfriend got orange chicken and he said it was the best he had ever had. I tried some and it was very flavorful and crispy on the outside while being moist on the inside. 10/10 will definitely come again!

I love Himitsu, they’re food is great, but come on, not being open for dine-in when it’s completely legal to do so is just a slap in the face. Those who are on lunch break or in between errands don’t want to eat in their car and dont have time to bring it back to work. Go down the street to Kings Teriyaki, they’re open for Dine In.
