FLAVORS and a VEGANS DELIGHT. Need I say more. This restaurant has been on my list to try for a very long time. Today was the day. My only regret, not eating here sooner. Their reviews are out of the world and now I know why.
The secret is in the flavors. Everything we ordered was very pleasing.
So fresh!
So tasty!
So happy!

If you’re vegan or Gluten free, you’re in luck. You have choices. In fact, so many choices that the menu can be overwhelming because there are so many options.

The hospitality is humbling. The culture is kind and really wish this restaurant was closer to me.
Don’t miss giving it a try.

I’ve been here several times and always enjoy it. Great flavor, great atmosphere, nice location. Feels much classier than the prices reflect. We’ve always had very friendly service. Great for a night on the town.

Love the naan selection! All the food that we tried was amazing. Every dish was spiced and flavorful. Great balance of seasoning. Tender lamb and chicken. Everything cooked to perfection. If you like some heat, ask for their homemade hot sauce to try. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here today. The lunch specials are an incredible deal. They include lentil dal soup, a salad, rice and a main dish. I appreciate being asked first what spice level you prefer- I’m a medium spicy and my lunch partner likes mild. The soup was so simple yet amazing. Their naan is quite fresh. I enjoyed the hot chai as well.
Very pleasing and colorful decor. Service was kind but a touch on the slower side. Will absolutely return here.

I was visiting Windsor and was looking up restaurants to eat and saw that this was very highly rated! I’m not too familiar with Himalayan and Nepalese food so I was excited to try it out! It was pretty busy for a weeknight dinner but we didn’t have to wait for a party of 2. We sat inside and parking was easy as there is plenty of street parking. After we ordered we were even given a warm towel to wipe our hands on. We ordered mango lassi’s, vegetable samosas, chicken korma curry with white rice and garlic naan, and we wanted to try something different that we don’t usually see so we got the fried noodles of the Himalayas with shrimp. The mango lassi was amazing, the vegetable samosas came with tons of sauces. We read that they give our complimentary lentil soups but I think that’s only for lunch so we didn’t bother asking. We opted for the chicken korma curry because it was highly rated and it met its expectations! We got ours a little spicy too and it was filled with so much flavor and texture, you can def tell the different spices and ingredients compared to a regular masala or curry. It paired so well with the garlic naan. They serve momos there which are dumplings from Nepal but we opted for the stir fried noodles of the Himalayas with shrimp. When trying to explain how it tasted which was really good, it reminded me of a Mongolian bbq with special types of mixing! I would highly recommend. We were way too full for dessert but they had tea bags on the table too. The service was great and very friendly and we really enjoyed our meal here, I’d definitely come back!

Wow. Food was delicious. Perfect amount of spice. Lunch specials included small cup of soup, small side salad, rice, naan bread and main dish. I had Salmon and my husband had chicken. We practically licked the plates clean!

Nice Restraunt, Different then Regular Indian food. They had a gluten Free roti.
I tried it but it was too thick and didn’t taste much like a roti. It was made out of chickpeas flour. It would have been a lot better if they made it out of rice flour. Since dosas can be made more like a roti to eat curry with. Other cuuries were good. They also have a kids menu where a chicken noodle soup is offered. My granddaughter loved it except for the carrots in it.

After tasting wine in the morning and then heading back to the southern end of Westside Rd for wine in the afternoon, we decided to try Himalayan in Windsor for lunch. This was based on the high ratings. The food is definitely well prepared and delicious and the service was attentive and on point. However a couple of points. We were seated in a booth right next to another party although the other side of the restaurant was very sparsely seated. The second point is that I suspect that the food is far more Indian than Nepali. Otherwise a delightful meal that we fully enjoyed.
