At Himalayan Kitchen, every dish is a journey to the heart of the Himalayas — blending the rich flavors of India and Nepal. Created in memory of Rosie, a loving wife and devoted nurse, our restaurant is built on her spirit of care, warmth, and compassion. We serve food that not only delights the taste buds but also nourishes the soul, bringing people together like family.

Great service, clean restaurant, food served hot , decent quantity and nicely presented. My second trip there. First trip I had the Samosas appetizer and they were large. This trip we had the Naan, eggplant dish, and a fried vegetable noodle dish. We brought some home. It reheated well and was delicious on day two. Bathrooms are clean. Waitress was nice, and was patient with our questions. This will be a regular stop for us.

We tried something completely new for us today — takeout from Himalayan Kitchen — an Indian and Nepalese restaurant. Normally when we’ve eaten Indian food, it’s been when someone has ordered it. Today we winged it and it was absolutely fantastic! We went a little overboard trying things and it was really excellent. The standouts were the Chana Masala and the Shrimp Korma (photo missing). We also ordered Veggie Biriyani, Naan, Roti, Papadums, and Raita. We’re definitely going to go back! Our only quibble was they had wonderful looking chai in a self serve area. We’d have loved the ability to order that for our takeout. We asked and they said they didn’t have any takeout cups. We hope they add this.

The food here is incredible ! I was so pleasantly surprised. Very fresh and DELICIOUS. Can’t wait to go back. Super clean, super friendly service. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester for food and flavor .

So good!! I am new to Indian food but I know I like butter chicken and garlic naan. Both were great! We tried the Saag Paneer, too. Also, very good! I don’t do anything spicy and mild was the lowest level and it wasn’t spicy at all. Happy about that but be prepared if you like it hot. Will definitely be back again!!

Their noodles and lamb biryani rice are divine. The flavors are unique and something you don’t usually find in the Rochester area, let alone in Webster.

Service: very flexible and understanding.
I managed to confuse myself with the online ordering, and accidentally finalized my original order after arriving at the restaurant, realizing it “hadn’t” gone through, and deciding to stay and order. They were patient and solicitous in canceling the second order and adapting the first—belated—one to table service.
Atmosphere: not unapproachably fancy, but nice new seats and comfy. Partner said it seemed classy. Western music.
Food: Delicious! Had veg samosa, chicken tikka masala, and veg biryani.

We have both dined in and ordered takeout multiple times since Himalayan Kitchen opened, and have tried many of their dishes so far. Every time, the quality of the dishes is high and consistent. The meats are always cooked to perfect temperatures and not too dry, and all the dishes are flavorful. The portions and the sides of rice are generous, and the estimated pickup time for online takeout orders has almost always been right on the dot. Their food really tastes like you’re eating a home cooked meal. It’s so nice to have another non-chain restaurant here in Webster!

I only ordered take out so I don’t feel qualified to rate service and atmosphere. The food I got, chicken biryani, was absolutely wonderful. I had ordered it with medium spice which hit at just the right amount for me. Tender chicken chunks went well with a very aromatic rice. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again.

My wife and I went there on their first Sunday open. It took a bit for someone to come out and greet us. It was also quite a while before we got waters and our order taken. However, it has also been a long time since there has been a place with good Indian food in Webster. Hopefully they find their rhythm and can push some orders out faster because the food was outstanding. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were the best that I have had in the greater Rochester area. The veggie samosas were amazing too and came with a nice sweet dipping sauce. The naan was cooked perfectly and came out hot. We also ordered a mango lassi. It was very good and you can tell it was made with fresh fruit, but it did come out warm. We added a bit of ice to it and it was great, and not even watered down. Overall everything was delicious and the price was reasonable. I hope with a little training/practice they can smooth out the service time because I would love to come back regularly.
