Prices were very reasonable.
We will definitely be coming back.
I was curious about the Himalayan momo dumplings but was afraid of the chili version. As most of you know, I’m probably the only Thai person who cannot eat spicy at all. Jana ensured me it the “chili” was more like a sweet pepper sauce. I trusted her and it really wasn’t spicy at all. A delicious glaze over the gyoza-like chicken-filled dumplings. Definintely a hit for us.
Butter chicken was rich, tender, and flavorful. The heat can be adjusted up or down to your liking, and they will take it back and fix it too. The right heat for B was too much for me. However, I happily dunked the cherries and peanut stuffed naan in the sauce and lived to eat another day.
Yeah, you heard me! Cherries and peanut stuffed naan! The sweet-savory Badami naan is stuffed with pureed cherries and peanuts and I cannot stop eating it, especially dunked into the creamy, spicy butter chicken. Sure, garlic naan is nice but these cherry-peanut naan is a whole other level.
And Pièce de résistance is the show stopping Behra Ko Karang, rack of lamb marinated in yogurt and spices, cooked in the tandoor and served with vegetable on a sizzling plate. The beautiful Himalayan fajitas arrived sizzingling and I couldn’t be happier! The most tender and flavorful lamb, cooked perfectly, on the bed of lightly charred veggies. A squeeze of lime.sealed the deal. I ate the lamb by itself, then with the rice, then with the badami naan and I could die right then and be okay with it.
Washing it all down was their house lemonade, made fresh with a touch of lime, ginger, sugar, and spices. A little on the sweet to start but mellows out as the ice melt and what a perfect relief to quench the butter chicken fire from earlier. LOL Brandon ordered their chai and was happy about his choice as well.
We will be back again for sure and we’d love to just bring y’all with us. So many more dishes to explore! Jana said I definitely have to try their biryani next. Sold, Jana. Sold.
The garlic naan was good.
I gave the restaurant a 4 rating because I didn’t care for the breading around the samosas. The filling wasn’t bad but atypical.
You choose 2 dishes from the Lunch special list. Rice, plain naan and soup included.
I had the chicken tikka masala and saag aloo at level 3 spice. My husband had the chicken tikka masala and vegetable coconut curry at level 1 spice.
Chicken tikka masala: we thought this was the best tikka masala we’ve had in the area. Great balance of sweetness and tomato, not too salty. We often find other places too tomatoey where it’s almost like marinara, or not enough sweetness. Had a decent amount of chicken too.
Saag aloo: more curry spices that I’m used to but we loved it this way.
Coconut curry: sweeter curry with some raisins and shredded coconut. My husband enjoyed this one too!
Service: very nice and attentive staff. I would just say that’s food took a while to come out and it was a bit staggered. My husband probably got his 8 minutes after mine. And only 3 other tables at the time. The waiter apologized but we didnt mind too much because food was great and came out hot! Must mean it’s pretty fresh and they aren’t just scooping from hot pans.
Will DEFINITELY come back, everyone should show them love because the food was delish and I want them to have good business! So many restaurants have come and go from the strip.
Parking: free parking at the corner right next to the restaurant.
