Food was amazing, and service was excellent and friendly!
The mango lassi was full of flavor! If you go to a lot of the buffet style places, with similar cuisine, the lassi is typically watered down.
The garlic naan was so fresh and buttery, not dry at all!
The chicken momo was good, and the chutney packed a little kick!
Da’ Wifey had the Malai Kofta. I had a taste, and it was very good. To me it was like a rich tomato soup.
I opted for the Curry Goat, with no spiciness. The last time I had spicy curry goat, it literally kicked my butt! But let me tell you, this was so tender and yummy, it didn’t need to be spicy! Just watch out for small bones.
If you’re in the area, and hungry, stop in. I highly recommend it!
Wait staff was very friend and asked if the heat/spice was tolerable. I appreciate that.
It was clean and had plenty of seating.
My one complaint would be the lighting. They have that cold blaring white LED lights. It’s not welcoming at all. Feels cold and like we had spotlights on us. Warmer light give warmer feeling. The plastic on the menu was literally reflecting light back at me.
Definitely a great addition to Escondido!!
The food itself was even worse. Everything tasted unpleasant and not fresh at all. The vegetables tasted like frozen veggies, and the overall quality felt like reheated frozen pre-made meals you could buy at a supermarket.
Even though the lunch price is only $11.99, it’s not worth waiting that long for food that tastes this bad. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, and I won’t be back.
But overall , the Naan was made soft and fresh and the curry definitely was flavored marinaded and seasoned well.
If it weren’t for the fact that there was a lot of excess oil on the paneer , it would be a 5 stars for sure. Dry Chili Paneer would’ve been what I was expecting.
I’d recommend this gem to anyone looking for great flavor at a reasonable price. I ordered the Lamb Biryani and garlic naan bread. The portions could easily feed 3 hungry adults with large appetites. The lamb is so tender and flavorful I have a hard time limiting my consumption. Rice is top as well. Their naan is out of this world.
Started with the veg momos and the lassi and just excellent. Could have made that my meal.
The tandoori came out like a fajita platter, sizzling and smelling amazing. Then they brought out the garlic herb naan and oh my god mouth watering!
They were very generous with the portions, too. I brought home enough to eat leftovers for 2-3 meals at least.
Highly recommended! Can’t wait to go again and take my husband and more friends.
So happy to have Indian food this good so close in Escondido!
