Every trip I take, I make it a point to go to one indian restaurant before I leave. This did not disappoint. I got the lamb vindloo and asked to have it “indian” spicy and they delivered. Its different than what we get back in the states so it almost resembled baijan bhartu with the lamb but nonetheless, amazing. Also got the rasmalai because I cant do dairy anywhere else in the states so it allowed me to enjoy one of my favorite desserts. The host,server,owner?? I feel like he did it all so kudos to him. Never was neglected nor any other tables. Glad I came here.

I had some of the best and most delicious Indian food I’ve ever tried here. The portions were extremely generous, definitely more than enough. However, the service didn’t match the quality of the food, and the prices were a bit higher than average.
What really disappointed me was when I asked to take my leftovers away. Instead of packing them, the server just brought me empty containers and told me to do it myself. I found that strange, unprofessional, and quite annoying.
Overall: fantastic food and portions, but service and value could be much better.

A very nice discovery! The food is very flavorful and we really enjoyed discovering new tastes. The staff is very attentive and gives great advice when choosing the dishes. A place we definitely recommend if you want to explore Himalayan cuisine

This was a delightful experience from start to finish.
After a day of strolling around Gent and working up an appetite, we landed on Himalayan. What a great choice that was.
First and foremost, our server was bright, cheerful and caring, with a warm greeting at the door. As my dining companion had begun losing her voice, our server commented on my choice of drinking a cold beverage and said to my friend, “I’ll make you a perfect warm tea” — and “perfect” it was!
The food was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. Although we found ourselves lost in conversation and still there beyond closing time, we were never rushed or hurried — only welcomed with smiles.
Five stars for the overall experience along with bonus stars for the lovely service and making us feel special.
A personal note to our server directly: “Thank you for creating a special moment for us.”
