We had a pleasant experience at Himalaya Indian Restaurant in Ulm. The food was nice and well prepared, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was also helpful that a child seat was available on request, which made dining with a child much easier. Overall, a good place for an enjoyable Indian meal.

Me and my friends visited Ulm for the first time and we enjoyed the hospitality. Restaurants staff were polite and gave excellent service. We enjoyed the food and the complementary papad was good touch from hotel side.

An Indian restaurant with flavours of both India and Germany merging in harmony – this place is highly recommended by locals when you’re in the mood for something Indian while in Ulm.
The interiors are decorated with ornate designs giving a traditional Indian feel while soft Indian Bollywood music plays in the background.
Service was a little slow and it’s recommended to get prior reservations.
We had the mango lassi, vegetable samosa and vegetable pakora for starters and they were delicious. The lassi was the star – it was perfectly sweet and the quantity was sufficient enough to fill you up.
For main course we tried the chicken vindaloo, vegetable curry, roti and pulao. All of the dishes were good, although quite less spicy for an Indian palate.
Overall, quality of food and atmosphere is quite decent and worth a visit.

Some dishes tastes good and some are not. In food, naan tastes good. Affordable price for buffet with 4 different curries (not spicy) which includes chicken, lamb and 2 vegetarian curries (may differ for each day) rice and naan. Mango lassi tastes good but it’s costly comparing to other Indian restaurants.

The best and only one Indian ‘All you can eat’ buffet in Ulm. It is open at noon and offers a good choice between two or three different curries, Dal and/or Pakora. They always have fresh Naan bread, some fresh veggies and chicken- or lentils- soup. This is also a good stop for vegans. The food is delicious and not oversalted as it’s common in many Chinese buffets. The price is either 8 euro during working week or 9 euro on weekends.
