The baguette and almond croissant were simply amazing! The lemon tarte was good but could be a bit more ‘ tarte’.. lacking a bit of the lemon flavor. Same for the keylime pie. It was good but my palate was begging for a bit more of the lime. But I highly recommend this bakery and will definitely return.

Loved every single thing we got here and we ordered 4 pastries, a quiche, and a sandwich. My only critique would be the quiche was a little heavy on potato and light on egg but it was tasty and I adore that it comes with a great little salad. I will be thinking about and craving the prosciutto sandwich for weeks!

This is a delightful little bakery. It was a chilly day but the setting on the waterways overlooking the Disney Resort was lovely.

My sweet tolerance has been significantly decreased over the years but this place had the perfect amount of “sweet” in everything. A nice lady was there who advised that I try the raspberry macron because I didn’t want anything super sweet. It was so good that I had to come back and get another one right before we left. The Pain Aux Raisin was pretty good too. Must visit here if you have a sweet tooth while here.

Do I come to Hilton Head specifically for this bakery? Just maybe
Seriously, this place is a staple, everyday stop when I’m in town. Amazing coffee and the pastries are to die for. The staff is always friendly. I love sitting outside and enjoying the harbor views, but the new inside expansion was nice for the more mornings. I know I’ll always be back!

I was very disappointed with my purchase. I ordered a lemon tart for $7.50, but it turned out to be mostly chocolate buttercream inside, with only a thin lime-flavored top. Nothing like a real, good lemon tart. The worst surprise! The presentation was nice, but the dessert was not what was advertised. For the price, I expected more honesty and accuracy. Unfortunately, this felt deceptive rather than just a mistake. This makes it hard to trust the bakery—if this happens with a simple lemon tart, it raises concerns about other items. I wouldn’t recommend this place! I feel like transparency with customers matters, especially when charging premium prices.

The gluten free items are excellent. I purchased two Kiss on the Beach and a cappuccino to go. It was difficult not to eat both of them at one sitting but I fought off the urge and saved one for later. The Staff is always very busy but are helpful in making selections and remaining personal and friendly.

EDIT 10/10/25
I am writing this with the heaviest heart one can have. It absolutely pains me to remove a star from my original 5 star rating but I don’t know what other measure to take to address this. I have been loyally coming to this spot for years, and one of my all time favorite items had been the prosciutto sandwich. This past year however I’ve noticed a change in my once favorite sandwich, despite the item listed on the menu never changing. Before, the prosciutto sandwich was a masterpiece. Generous helpings of prosciutto, sun-dried tomatoes, thick mozzarella slices, garnished with arugula, and drizzled with a balsamic glaze (and, on the most beautiful of occasions, some kind of fig jam) This sandwich was a thing of dreams. It was my go-to for lunch. I gushed about it to people,I daydreamed about it at work,I planned my next day just to go to the shop and order one.
That has now changed.
Those once delicious and coveted ingredients have shifted these past months, the sandwich no longer recognizable. Gone is the balsamic glaze, the fig jam, the sun-dried tomatoes and generous helpings. Now what remains is a thin layer of prosciutto, sliced tomatoes (they will throw in a single sun dried tomato, but most of it will be a normally sliced one. Why we are remixing tomatoes I don’t know), two pieces of mozzarella, artichoke hearts, and, I can not stress this enough, an entire can of chopped olives.

So. Many. Olives.

You’re basically eating a can of olives between two slices of bread. It doesn’t even matter that the other ingredients have changed because you literally cannot taste anything but olives. Prosciutto is a salty meat on it’s own, it should be complimented with other flavors as it used to be, not drowned in a sea of equally salty items. Please. For the love of god go back to your original prosciutto recipe. Or, if you are determined to die on olive hill, use half the can instead. I literally cannot imagine how this tastes good anymore, I think I keep ordering the sandwich because I’m praying someone will make it how they used to, or else I just have Stockholm Syndrome to it at this point. I feel like I’m eating the Theseus’s paradox of sandwiches. I watched the pieces that made this sandwich so good disappear one by one and get replaced until I looked down at my plate and realized I didn’t recognize what I was eating anymore. Someone truly needs to have an intervention with whoever decided to change this masterpiece, or else whatever staff member has a crippling obsession with olives.

Also restock your whipped cream. I’ve been trying to get it on top of my coffee for months now as I always have, and it seems like you just stopped stocking it?? Why?

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I’m actually obsessed with this place. I come here at least twice a week before work to grab a coffee and pastry and chill in their outdoor seating. It’s an incredibly laid back and comfortable atmosphere that I love soaking up and the food here is to die for. I think I’d give my life for one of their prosciutto sandwiches and I daydream about the Kiss on the Beach and giant raspberry macaroon daily. This is so easily the best bakery/Cafe on the island it’s an absolute hidden gem. Not only is the food exceptional but I love the service as well- it’s so fun and upbeat in there I don’t even know how to begin to describe it. The workers always go above and beyond to be incredibly friendly and caring. This is easily my favorite place on hilton head; if I’m ever missing I’m actually just at the social bakery sitting outside with a coffee and almond croissant.
I got my birthday cake from here as well (16″ giant raspberry macaron) and it was absolutely everything I could ever dream of. Even though the cake was huge it came out absolutely perfectly, and insanely delicious! I’m still getting messages from my guests about just how tasty the cake was because it truly was out of this world!! Thank you so much to everyone on the team for creating the best birthday cake ever!

This is the first time I ordered from here. I found this place on Google and I am glad I did. I ordered my son’s first birthday cake and the chef did an amazing job. Every single person who had the cake went for seconds and could not stop talking about it. I am not a chocolate fan but even I loved it. I can honestly say it’s the best cake I have had. Make sure to get your cake from this place you won’t be disappointed. Will definitely order and try more stuff from here. Thanks a lot for the amazing cake.

We stopped in while on vacation for gluten free desserts. They had 4 different options. We bought 3 of them and they were so good! Everything else looks amazing as well but we only wanted gluten free. Def worth a stop in.
