Amazing coffee tour! Jeanette is fabulous and so personable. We learned so much during our tour and had fun! Highly recommend if interested in coffee. Thank you for a great afternoon.

Coffee was sooo smooth, the chickens were engaging, and the sign that told you where to park was very small. There was also an elderly cat! Meow!

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful farm tour with Jeanette, the owner. She explained to us the entire coffee making process and showed us their roasting facilities. Next, we went out to. The farm and saw the drying room and trees. We got to sample some of the wild fruit and even a coffee cherry. We finished off trying a couple of their roast!

Probably the best cup of coffee and the friendliest face during our stay in Hilo. Thank you, Rachel, for your charming conversation and wonderful Hilo recommendations. We lamented we never tasted a better coffee the rest of our trip!

First off, the coffee is really great! The ice cream is also yummy with a shot of espresso, and drizzled with chocolate! Our to go lunch, which was a Tuna sandwich and the pork wrap, they both were prepared by Sadia, she gave us excellent service with a big smile!

We had an incredible tour of the coffee farm with the HCM staff! Chelsea, Rachel, and Lilo were super enthusiastic and friendly. They led us around the beautiful farm to see the coffee trees. We were also joined by the coffee farmers Tom and Tim, who shared their expert knowledge of the farm. We learned about the coffee production process, and got to see and taste ripe coffee cherries, as well as a number of other fresh farm fruits.

The Hilo Coffee Mill tour is a must-do if you’re staying on the big island. The coffee farm itself is on 24 acres, but has a quiet and calm feel to it – not at all crowded and everyone is incredibly friendly. The tour was just Jeanette (the owner), my husband, and myself. She showed us the roasting room, the drying area, the coffee plants, and some special stops along the way. At the end, you get an opportunity to taste test some different coffees in their store, where they also have a full cafe set up if you’d prefer to just grab a cup and go. We ended up buying several bags to take home as well, which they were nice enough to ship! Jeanette’s passion for coffee is evident in what she does, and she goes above and beyond to provide you with a great experience!

Really enjoyed visiting here. Jeannette and her staff are lovely and they have whole bean coffee for purchase and an espresso bar, both delicious. A very charming atmosphere, plus they have a farmers market on Saturday! The owners are obviously very passionate about what they do, you’ll have a lovely time visiting Hilo Coffee Mill

We brought our Hamakua coffee in for finishing, they checked, dried, processed and roasted it to perfection. Ample parking, ADA accessible, food, gifts and more.

Thanks Hilo coffee mill! We stopped here today, a Tuesday around 1:00 ish and they had 3 different coffees they were sampling. All the samples were All yummy and it was so interesting to learn about Why Hawaiian coffee is so not bitter (at least to us compared to other coffees) So there was a lot we had to learn about “coffee cherries” and other terms and everybody there was very happy to share the information with us! And not in a snobby way! and then we walked over to the roasting room and got a little bit more information from Adam in there. We were happy with the samples, and our purchases. Even the owner shared a lot of info and seems to really enjoy her business. We are Excited to share some gifts with family that we purchased from there. So in the end all were very helpful and the only one that was a bit unfriendly appeared to be a local but after spending some time there she also seemed to get friendlier and less abrupt. So give it a try and don’t let one employee ruin it, we didn’t & were glad we stayed about 20-30 minutes. Also if they are busy with other customers they will get to you. One thing I think that would help is a sign that explains where to stand to get a sample of coffee and perhaps wait in line if there’s others there ahead of you… Like a sign from the ceiling that says “like a coffee sample? Wait here” and an arrow pointing.
