Who knew this awesome little burger joint has the very best fresh market fish sandwich and fresh slaw EVER! I don’t say that lightly. I’ve been in search of the best fish sandwich and this is it! You can have breaded or grilled fresh catch. I had breaded fried. It was the lightest yummiest batter, and tender, flaky fresh fish. The service an atmosphere were awesome today. Big selection of burgers and fries. Local beer. Very delicious and highly recommend. The service was a bit slow but that’s fine. I had teriyaki burger and my wife had the Wagyu burger. I highly recommend and will go back again.

Local bar serving great burgers. Selected Blue cheese burger as a salad. Taste was fresh and delicious. Also tried grilled fish burger with chips – delicious! Server’s were very nice and assisted us with our selections.

Our first visit to Hilo Burger Joint was as expected… good food, live music, and awesome creative burgers ! Our server was friendly, but could’ve been more prompt. We waited for a bit for water at first, then starters came late (with the meal), and our waters weren’t refilled. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it and the food was tasty.

The atmosphere was nice. A decent, normal bar. That’s about it. The burgers weren’t anything to write home about. My daughter ordered a corn dog, which was not cooked. The second one was overcooked, way too hot. The waitress was extremely rude to our group from the start. We had a big group, they separated us onto separate tables and then told us they would charge us to split up the bill…even though we were all on separate tables anyways. If there was a way to leave 0 stars, I would leave it. Also, they had a list of food they were out of before we even started ordering, come to find out that they did have some left of some things. Which would’ve been nice because 1 of my daughters really wanted it. And the fruit that came with my kids food was a fruit cup that I could get at the store. With this being located in Hawaii, I would think they would’ve done FRESH fruit!
