Friendly service with a smile. Good menu selection. Specials also. I got the chicken sandwich on long roll with suggested parmesan fries. The sandwich was awesome. Fresh roll gold toppings. The fries were good but a little on the oily side for me. Probably the most perfect half and half I ever ordered. Draft was not that cold. A small minus. I wanted so bad to give a 5 star. It was between 12 -12:30 for my visit here. The bar was busy and staff stepped away from bar for far to long during lunch hour.

This Tavern is a little off the path of Main street in Manyunk, but still very accessible. The atmosphere was ok, what you’d expect from this type of establishment. Not at all bad, but also not going to draw you in either. There is a mix of small tables, bar seating, and semi booths. The staff was nice and cheerful. The rating plummeted for the food. While it looked good for bar fair it was salty as hell. It was almost a joke how bad it was to the point we had to question if it was intentional. I got the crab and cheese fries and a cheese steak, my partner onion rings and a chicken sandwich. The old bay mixture for the crab fries must have spilled out while being sprinkled in because the middle was unbeatable. But my cheese steak was definitely salty too. They also neglected to tell me my cheese steak came with fries so I was caught off guard with 2 huge plates of fries… which the ones with my cheese steak were great. My wife enjoyed her chicken sandwich but also thought it was too salty. Despite that the menu was plentiful. The drink options varied and reasonably priced. So ill assume the saltiness is a cook having an off day. But not a bad spot, just avoid anything with salt or old bay.

My friends and I come here frequently after our softball games, and they have great food! Service has always been friendly with lots of seating too.
Their chicken tenders and fries seem to be homemade, fried perfectly and golden. Salty. Delicious honey mustard. They also have great tacos, nachos and wings.
Will definitely continue coming back in the future!

In summary excellent food and sizable portions of some standard bar fare with some subtle yet tasty twists to update the normal routine bar food.
Three burgers and a fried chicken sandwich were .
We started with the beer battered onion rings with the horseradish aioli and were not disappointed.
The sandwiches were two Barbecue Burgers, a Breakfast Burger and a Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. All excellent. Don’t pass up upgrading to the garlic parm and sweet potato fries.
The beer selection had all your typical favorites.
If you’re looking for somewhere to sit outside, eat some great food and watch some sports this is a perfect place to do it.
No complaints here and nothing but stars!

A classic neighborhood spot, with above average food and drink. I have to say I think this pint of Guinness was as good as any I had in Dublin. Such a good pour. The fish and chips, a classic and the salad was crisp and fresh. By the looks of the burgers and chicken sandwich’s around us we will be back for more. I hear the Liberty Gin cocktails are good too! This is a real pub with a good atmosphere filled with friendly people. Seating inside and out, perfect for watching a game.

Pretty chill vibe..but take note-this bar has an Irish Band that has practice there so it can get a lil loud..if you like bagpipes and drums…This is your spot! Enjoy!

I’m vegetarian – so I ordered a veggie flatbread (came with sauteed mushrooms&spinach on top). I was able to salvage the taste by requesting balsamic vinegar. Their veggie burger was dried out, bad the same sauteed spinach and mushrooms, but a good amount of melted cheese. Their fries were ah-mazing though! Good customer service too

One of the best bars to hangout with friends. I loved this place – Good food and not so pricey beers. It has outdoor seating and you can play games, even the service is great. We ordered fries and wings, both were good. I would recommend this place to everyone.

My wife and I discovered Hilltown over 2 years ago and have been coming here regularly ever since. Not everyone will agree, but their cheesesteak is my favorite hands down. It is loaded with rib eye, and the horseradish sauce they use give it a unique kick. The fries are also some of the best I’ve had also. The best part is, all the times we have come here the food is extremely consistent. We’ve never been disappointed with the food quality.
