If you have never been to Hilltop Sports Club, you’re missing out. The beer (cheapest around) is always ice cold. The liquor selection is one that cant be beat (cheapest around). The patio is a nice hangout for the smokers- or those who like it outside. The pool tables may not be free, but the hourly rate is pretty cheap (just 5$ per hour). 7 TVs for all your sports watching. Great bartenders who know you by name when you walk thru the door and have your drink ready before you can sit down. Music SINGO on Tuesdays, starting at 7:30pm. Great host, great bartender, prizes, drinks and lots of fun!

It was my first visit to this establishment. There was a $5 fee to join as it is a club. I was by myself and the barkeep made sure I was included with the group already there. Everybody was welcoming and I felt comfortable being there alone. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Great place to have fun and good people, very friendly service. Karaoke on Thursday and Saturday nights. Open daily and cheap drinks makes everyone else look over priced. Stop in and see for yourself small town bar, that’s not a hole in the wall, very clean and also has pool tables.

My wife and I are new the Newton area and love the friendly people. Not at all was this the case upon entering the Hilltop for our first time. My wife called ahead and actually spoke to a very friendly woman who answered a couple questions. However when we walked in the bartender was extremely rude. Before we could sit down we were told we couldn’t be there unless we were members. I was still polite and asked “I’m sorry we didn’t know that” -(bartender rolled her eyes at my wife when she said she called earlier in the day and the lady on the phone invited our interest in coming in for our first time- bartender pointed out that they had changed shifts and she “was not the one you spoke to !”) An older gentleman sitting at the bar said we could sign the guest list and the bartender promptly stopped him and in a sassy tone said “well are you ALE or law-enforcement?” That was enough and I said “we obviously don’t need to be here” I understand private clubs have to take precautions. This absolutely was no way to treat any potential customer We both left scratching our heads wondering had we done something wrong to initiate such a response.

Great place to have some drinks and great pricing. They have pool tables and karoke. It’s a cool local spot, with no riff-raff. I know they have PBR on tap, and a couple others in bottles. It is a club, so there is a small yearly club fee.
