Would agree with previous reviewers, it doesnt look like much from the outside – but the inside was nice. Service was very friendly.
I just got a cheeseburger but it was fantastic! Fresh veg, and I appreciate the clear attention to care and detail in assembling a good looking burger thay was also delicious.
Will 100% be going back.

visit was nowhere near recent, but about a year ago i was in a real bad situation and i had my two cats i had already walked for miles and i went there looking for a place to regroup and they offered me water and gave me kindness i had really needed at the time, ive yet the chance to try their food but im excited for the day i get the opportunity, thank you all again.

Friendly hometown dive bar that also has a full day menu. I’d recommend this place for a grab-n-go breakfast sandwich or lunch hamburger. They have a new cook and he seems to do well.
The establishment itself has not been renovated in a long time, it’s not particularly well kept or clean, i cannot speak for the kitchen, it may be totally different. There’s a little smell of smoke and a few pool tables in the back.
I have an office close by and always notice a bit older, local crowd.
I’ve never sat down to eat but I’ve stopped through to pickup small orders to go. Very fair prices, and they meet my expectations.

Looks like a little hole in the wall but if you’re looking for little simple food this place is it. I had a turkey/ham club and it was the best I’ve ever had! I know it’s a simple sandwich but it was really good! The service was also wonderful, very courteous and kind!

Best Bar in town. The service is outstanding and the food prices are fair for the portions served. Definitely a great place to do karaoke and they also have special events I have spoke with the owner about starting the pool league and the dart league backup they have a large back room that you can rent out for private parties after hours. You must provide your own security and the entire place has security cameras the parking lot is large enough to accommodate a decent-sized gathering I don’t know what the fire department limit is but I know you can get at least 50 people in there comfortably.

So this little restraunt is sooooo good. It is a bar too. The food there is Amazing. I took my client there because he had a meeting with friends. These people showed out and showed off. No they dont wear uniforms and yes it looks rough around the edges but they have the best staff and food. Defintley will go back.

Waitress was great but was frustrated by the new cook.
We were there for breakfast (with only about 7 others in the place) and food took hour and a quarter to get to table ! I couldn’t drink ANY more coffee !!
Food was poorly prepared.
Waitress was frustrated,
Wife and I disappointed.
We went there because had good reviews and we like to hit local privately owned places (not franchises, when possible).
Recent cook change reflected poorly on Owner, he/she didn’t do a good job hiring. As an Owner, you got to find good people – – waitress is, cook isn’t !

Passing through Roanoke one evening after work and found Hilltop on my the GPS in my car. Very glad I did. Met great staff in Whitney and Bridget. Wasn’t able to stay long so ordered to take home. While there I felt like I had friends taking care of me rather than being at another restaurant. They’re getting back on their feet after pandemic and I wish them great success. Friends well met.

A damn good place for Burgers & Beer & Crown Royals (+ a splash ‘o H2O)…Reasonably priced with solid bar-type menu that’s popular with locals & visitors “in the know” (which we are via the Wif’s family). Try the 5-star Fried Pickle Spears. Our Mushroom Swiss, Bleu Cheese, and Jalapeño Cheddar burgers were top notch and met our expectations set from prior visits. Burgers are what they do & they’ll not disappoint!
We met the In-Laws there after a long ride from Salem, Va and it was a great way to start our stay in Oscoda!
